IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, try try try again and again (and again...)

I always remember some people bringing in large whisky bottles with rather substantial amounts of wee samples in them when I worked in a surgery. We had then to pour it into little sample bottles, which was not a pleasant job. Still, there were worse samples to deal with. :yuk: (Is it just me...

    30 Day Shred Challenge

Jade, just a warning to be careful with your knees. Although I already have arthritis in mine, they are now permanently damaged because I did 5 or so days of the 30 Day Shred last year. The routine is particularly bad for knee joints and I don't want you (or anyone else) to end up like me.

Oh, that cake! Drooling now! :-) Brownie, whenever you feel a bit of wavering if the scales don't show a difference, try getting out your tape measure instead. It can be a real morale booster to see those numbers going down, even if the weight stays the same for a little while.

That sounds amazing, Topaz! I've heard of hiking and cycling holidays, but never a swimming one. What an excellent idea! The most I've ever swam is 1 mile, although I only stopped because I ran out of time during my session and could have gone on for longer. I've never ever swam in the sea...

I strongly agree with this. Also, in order for exercise to work best - especially in relation to building/strengthening muscle tissue and thus helping your metabolism, you should vary it. I've often read that if you carry out the same exercise and don't include variations, then your body...

How frustrating that they don't explain the rating in the instructions so you know what's what with the score. Mind you, you could always use it as a benchmark, so that if it starts getting lower you could perhaps ask your GP for a test. Could be a good warning indicator.

Very strange. I've done a quick google and it doesn't appear to tally with the T-test (normal result is 0 for a 30 year old) - unless your bone is extremely dense. It sounds as though the scales manufacturers must have developed their own scoring system. Hmmm...this is tempting me to...
