    Frist time I did sw, I was contantly on the loo day and night. It was actually the reason I gave it up after a few weeks. Having started again in June, for some reason it's made no difference to my toilet habits. Still can't make it out lol!

Like you, I would have liked to have lost at least a stone in the first month, but I've cocluded that it's either go hungry and lose quickly or eat tasty, filling food in generous quantaties and lose a little slower.     I've been on a course of antibiotics for a week now and at weigh -in on wed, i'd put on 1lb. I was surprised because I'd stayed on track all week, and power walked every day. I know exercise can make you withhold fluids but was wondering if antibiotics can as well. ruby

    Does your week start or end with WI?

    My weigh-in is on a wed evening and so I start afresh on thursday. My 'treat' after weigh- in, is always a glass of red wine from a bottle which I then finish off on sat. I don't count the syns for my wed 1 glass tipple. ruby

    tesco lamb shanks....

    I've had these but don't think they're worth the money. Very little meat and the gravy is ok. Morrisons do frozen lamb shanks in mint gravy and they're loaded with meat and also free.

    which one has the correct syn values? I've just looked up syns for Tesco's lamb shanks in mint gravy and according to my book they are 3 syns each, but the on-line calculator values them at 1 1/2 syns each.     Which sweetener is the best

    I've tried them all! The best by far (imo) is sweetness and light. you can get it in table or granular form and it's not far off from regular sugar with no awful after taste. Canderel is also good and a little cheaper. ruby

    Sugars & Sweeteners?

    In coffee I use the sweetness and light mini cubes and although it's not exactly sugar, it is the best substitute I've found (no bitter aftertaste.) I think you can also find it in granule form. ruby

    New to SW......

    and just wanted to say hello:) This is only my first week on the diet and so far so good. I'm doing the red/green plan, having mostly red but tried green yesterday; was bliss to eat so many carbs! However, I did eat 3 mugshots for snacks, was wondering if this is too much. ruby
