In four weeks I haven't been using mine but have been exercising 5 times per week with both Zumba and gym and my weightloss has not been reflective of my effort ie 6lb so this week my leader has told me to use them to see if my body has gone into starvation mode and therefore no weightloss. I like the term brain foggy, that's exactly how I felt and it normally hit me around 2.30 in the afternoon at work. I had to go outside in the cold air and blast the brain. This feeling does pass though and by...

How long before the hunger wears off?

Day 5 for me when the hunger stopped, well it hasn't totally gone away but it is manageable. The empty feeling that I associate with hunger lurks but the brain is stronger now to deal with it. When people say it is all in the mind, I use to dismiss this statement but now, 38 days into SS I can...

    CD on holiday.. advice please!

I went to Ireland last October for a weekend with my OH and I was stopped at Bristol as my shakes were in my hand luggage and I was told I couldn't take them as they were not on the allowed list. They gave me the optins to chuck them there and then or send them back to myself in an envelope. I...

How do you deal with BAD BREATH on ss cd??????

I talk behind my hand all the time at the mo. Apart from that I am chewing a sugar free gum but not for long as it does make me hungry . Other than that I use a spray, not pleasant. Worth it in the end :D

why do i keep doing this to myself?

oh Melissa85, totally relate with the danger time. Mine was always the same, just after work, and before dinner. I would have a sandwich or a bag of crisps and then eat a cooked dinner. Then felt full so didn't make it off the sofa to the gym etc. To combat this bad habit, I made sure that when...

Fish & Chips...are they the work of the devil?

I managed to lock myself away and my OH washed all offending cutlery so I could lick anything before I set foot downstairs. It is funny how certain smells do start the drool effect. Thanks to everyone who helped with my sanity last night :D

Fish & Chips...are they the work of the devil?

I am currently sat upstairs in my office avoiding the dining room as my hubby:mad: has brought home fish & chips because he is off out and didn't want to cook this evening ( his turn) He warned me to stay upstairs to avoid the delicious smell but I am now on my hands and knees poking my head...

    worst memory of being fat

Oh Linda, that was an awful post to read, but I can relate. I went to a beauty therapist to have a spray tan so I could feel good about myself for a wedding I was going to. After the tan which was done in silence, I got dressed and quietly walked to the desk to pay. I then heard the therapist...
