So sick of this constant battle...

There's no rubbish in my cupboards. I don't buy any crap when I do weekly shopping, it's all veg, quorn, homemade soup ingredients etc. My weakness is then most evenings, because there's nothing "nice" in, I'll drive out to a garage/supermarket and buy crap or buy a takeaway because I can't be...

So sick of this constant battle...

I began dieting at beginning of January 2011. I lost 97lbs (just under 7 stone) within the year, the first 5 stone came off quite easily within about 7 months, the last 2 stone I really struggled with plateau's and eventually give up. I need to lose about 12 stone, so I was over half way there...

how do you lose 2 thirds of your self?

Just wanted to offer my support too. You're doing amazingly well and it gets much easier the longer it goes on...just becomes a way of life. I think it's important to get to the bottom of why you use food as a comfort and if you can work through that it might stop you turning to food should you...

Yazoo Chocolate Milk as substitue for Milk? HELP?!

A lot of people do tweak slightly. It's not Slimming Worlds recommendation to tweak but I hardly think a milkshake used in place of milk would make you gain and spoil the plan completely. I am truly my own worst enemy!

Sometimes a high calorie meal can jolt the metabolism into action. I wouldn't worry about it to be honest with you and it probably wasn't as bad as you think either. Eggs are free, bacon is too if the fat was removed, so it's really just the oil and bread or butter if you used it. If it was...

Why is having the cold making me put on weight?!!!

I wouldn't worry about a gain if I were you, it's probably just a normal fluctuation, I doubt having a few sachets of lemsip would cause a weight gain like that. To gain 1lb of fat you have to eat an additional 3500 calories ON TOP of what you normally eat. So it won't be a "gain" gain, more...

Just this last month, it's all slowed down. Last week I wasn't having enough calories for my size so this week I upped them and nothing's made any difference. Am on week 4 now of very slow losses and I've never experienced this before, it's very disheartening. Nothing I do seems to make any...

    Disappointed to be honest

I eat a lot of carbs and have some good losses, I think everyone is different and you may have to try a few things to see what works best for you but you're still having good losses for SW. I know when I want a bigger loss then I cut down on snacking in between meals and up my veg intake.

    I Messed Up :(

Course you can do it...you've done amazingly well so far! Have you tried mixing things up a bit? Trying a different plan or changing your HEx's, trying new recipes or a food you've not tried for a long time? Sometimes mixing things up a bit can give you a jolt and help you out of the plateau...

6 days is great. I took the batteries out of my scales after my mini dramaz last week and asked the bf to hide them until tomorrow, lol. Good luck to everyone for tomorrow's weigh in. I always get a little nervous but am hoping for a good result...my trousers are a lot looser on me this week...

    Bit fed up...

Ah, the mind is too a bit, but I know what I'm like and still think I'd benefit from it long term if that makes any sense...least I'm in a good frame of mind at the mo, just seems unfair that you can't help yourself and receive help from outside too. It's supposed to be an excellent program.

    Bit fed up...

They're actually really nice, weirdly. I had a bite of one yesterday...the texture isn't really fishy but it kinda tastes like what fish fingers smell like, if that makes sense? My daughter had them for her tea yesterday and said they taste like fish fingers too. I can't remember what fish...

To stop feeling ashamed. To regain my social life. (I won't see any of my friends since I put on the last 10 stone.) To regain some confidence. To get a job that requires me to leave the house. To be independent and stop feeling codependent. To be in control of myself instead of trying to...

Green Days Does this sound about right?

You don't need to eat 1/3 superfree on Green but there are still superfree foods. You can have free or superfree, whatever you like. Superfree are just lower in calorie content than free foods but still available on all plans. The bacon can be your 2nd HExB so that's fine as long as it's...

How to keep weekly shopping costs down?

I just spent £180 on shopping this week for a fortnight for 2 adults and a teen, it's ridiculous. To be honest, not spending that much more now than we were pre SW, used to spend a fortune on junkfood any way so it's only gone up a wee bit with all the fresh stuff.

How do you control what you eat...

Yep, this is exactly what we do too. I didn't mean that you should never give kids anything "bad", just that teaching them about healthy options or giving them healthy snacks is going to be better for their bodies and will stop bad habits forming. With regards to the bad eating habits...
