You have to send it to yourself as an email to your kindle address, which should be in your settings! I've only had mine a week so not tried it yet!

    Monthly Contact Lenses

I had monthly stay in lenses for about two years, they were brilliant. Waking up and being able to see was great! I had to stop wearing them tho as I got a scratch on my eye, which turned into an ulcer. I think they recommend that you take them out once a week or something to give your eyes a...

    SW and illness

I liked your gentle hugs comment, it's something I say quite often to my friend who is very poorly with fibro. I know that it's difficult sometimes to follow any plan when your head is full of wool so I second the making things when you're able to to have when you can't! I can recommend ryvita...

I've tried it with the coconut muller and it's lovely! Also I'm not keen on making it big oats, it doesn't taste as nice! But that may be a texture thing!

Anyone grown mushrooms from a kit?

You have to be careful, I had a kit but the mushrooms didn't grow, but flies did! Little fruit fly type things! They then invaded all my houseplants and killed my carefully nurtured 8 yr old money tree! :-(

Jim 1: Channel 0. Now for the return match!

I just wanted to say that you've inspired me to start swimming again! It has taken me until yesterday to find a swim suit that fits and won't have too much of me wiggling about but I'm going back to the pool after the bank hol weekend! So thank you for being so positive, your determination makes...

Need ideas for meals on camping trip, please

I've made egg curry before, tomato pasta with bacon, fajitas, anything you would cook on the hob at home. I've done entire weekend on sw while camping and it can mean a bit of effort but it is doable! Breakfasts are usually old faithful fry up, or eggy bread, with mushrooms, beans! Have fun! :-)

had my house valued bad times!!!!!

Its only a buyers Market tho if you have a big deposit. As a single person there's no way I could get a mortgage on my salary!. I do choose to live in the sunny south mind but it's still impossible to buy. Now where did I put that lottery ticket?! :-)

    Suprefree Rhubarb

When I was a kid we used to just break off a stick of rhubarb, wash it ( sometimes) and eat it raw. Mind you i believe there may have been dipping in sugar involved! Which I wouldn't recommend now! :-)

    Ryvita as Hex b

No they aren't free they are a hex b, it's just that if you only have two of them they speed your weight loss rather than having 4 which gives you plenty of fibre!

    Week on, week off

That seems to be the way this time is going for me! I've lost weight on SW before but was so strict that I did it for two months, lost two stone, fell off the wagon and put it all back on and some! This time it's taken me lot longer to get to nearly stone and a half off but I'm not losing...

    Tail between my legs ...

I've been back to the same group and they were happy to see me! It is hard but you have to think of yourself and if your old/new group is going to keep you more motivated it's worth biting the bullet and going back!
  32. S

    Quick question about HEXA?

I agree no one has ever suggested that you must eat the whole hex except when I've read it on here! They may also have suggested not having two a's the same as a variety/mixing it up thing! They do like a bit of variety they do! :-)

    Healthy Extra sub-forum?!

I agree that the search on the I phone app isn't great! I only discovered MM because of the app and have only been on the web once! I don't do the 'sent from my iphone' thing cos I don't think anyone really cares! There are prob more people than you think using it!

    Getting Irritated.

Good luck with weigh in and I hope it all get easier as you get to know it. I have to agree with the 'planners' I plan every week after weigh in for the following week, it keeps me going if I don't have to obsess about what I can have and it keeps costs down!

Quitting smoking and trying to diet arghh

I gave up smoking last year with patches and an inhalator! It works, that's why the docs give them away! I did a full course of patches (3 months) and then carried on just using the inhalator. I'm coming up to a year in April and would recommend using anything that stop smoking services offer to...

How Do You Get Slimmer Of The Week?

SOTW is supposed to be highest loss of week, if it's not your first weigh in or you didn't gain the previous week. However I have heard of many variations on a theme and even my understanding might be wrong!
  43. S

    Really really really trying but.......

I'm pretty sure harvester used to do a SW menu at one time, but then they stopped, mind you their new menu makes it quite easy to SW without to much hassle! And no I don't work for them, it's just nice to have one place to eat without worrying too much!

    Pilchards!

Hi, I won the slimmer of the week basket this week at class (very chuffed) but it had pilchards in tomato sauce in it. I've never eaten a pilchard in my life and I'm not a great fish fan, so looking for suggestions on what to do with it... Apart from putting it back in the basket next week! :-)

My First Ever Attempt At Homemade Soup

I use it for everything, anything you'd use a baking tray for you can use a stone for. You need to season it first tho, cook something on it with fat in it ( not ideal for SW) and don't wash it up, rinse off with hand hot water and use the little brown scraper to get stuff off. Sorry for the...
