The McCain value will be for a Green or EE day, in which case the potatoes would be free. It's only on a Red day that you need to syn potatoes and the McCains would have a higher syn value.
Homemade chips on a green day are free (assuming you use no oil or use it as a HexB!)
Hi guys.
I asked a couple of weeks ago but didn't get anywhere - please can someone be so kind to look up the syns for Morrisons Risotto please?
Per 100g, 130kcal, 1.9g protein, 28.2g carb, 1.1g fat, 120g pack size.
Free food allowance is risotto rice.
The values are lower than savory rice so...
The syns calculator doesn't quite work like that, I doubt, but thanks for your help anyway!
Can anyone else put it through the calculator please? Per 100g, 130kcal, 1.9g protein, 28.2g carb, 1.1g fat, 120g pack size.
Free food allowance is risotto rice.
Cheers
Thanks.
Didn't think the 20 cals = 1 syn thing worked if there was a free food allowance? It would make the savoury rice 7.7 per 100g of prepared product, surely?
I don't do guesswork - been caught out in the past!
Values for it are as follows:
Per 100g, 130kcal, 1.9g protein, 28.2g carb...
Please could someone be so kind as to look up the syns for a couple of Morrisons rice products for me?
Morrisons Wild Mushroom Risotto (just add water), 120g pack
Morrisons Value Golden Savory Rice, 120g
Have searched on here but not found the ones I'm looking for.
I can post the...
Onions, leeks, shallots, celery, tomatoes, sweetcorn, grated carrot, brocolli, finely chopped white cabbage, parsnip, turnip.
Add to some Quorn mince, passata, black pepper, a few herbs and a splodge of tomato puree and you're sorted!
It's mixed beans in a can! It's usually with the pulses and soups.
Here's the Sainsbugs one to give you an idea: Sainsbury's online groceries or Asda: Cookies Detecting!
Hope that helps!
I do mostly green days with Mix To Match and EE days inbetween when I need to be a bit more flexible.
Whatever suits you best! If you are more comfortable with red and green, stick with it. It's been used for years and thousands of people will have lost with it.
I find EE is so easy to over...
I think the WW ones are lovely. Obviously not as sweet as proper angel delight, but you can add your own sweetener etc. if you prefer.
I'd seen on another thread on here about it being powdery, but if it's whisked properly it's absolutely fine.
Makes a change to yogurt!
It's usually with the...
Have you tried the Weight Watchers dessert whips?
I got a banoffee flavour and a creamy chocolate flavour on offer from Lidl last week. They use 125ml of skimmed milk and make 2 69g servings for 2.5 and 2 syns a serving respectively.
Can anyone help me out with a syn value please?
It's Morrisons Eat Smart ReducedKorma Sauce, 40% less fat, 500g
Values are as follows (per 100g):
Energy 87kcal
Protein 1.2g
Carbs 8.2g

Not in my old food directory :(
Help is much appreciated, cheers!
I've gone it alone from Day 1! The thought of going to a slimming club/class really wasn't up my street. Bought my books off eBay and got cracking.
If you are positive, determined and have support around you, there is no reason why you can't do it on your own. It's worked perfectly for me and I...
Why not stay as a green day and use r 113g of tinned tuna or 71g of cooked chicken as your 2nd HeB and you can then have 320ml of skimmed milk AND 42g of low fat cheddar?
Whe I make curry (either from scratch or from a jar) I always try to bulk it up to make enough to be able to freeze a portion or two. I always boil up a pan of water with potatoes, carrot, turnip, parsnip - any veggies really, cook them for 10 minutes or so, drain (but not completely!), blitz up...
Katoof - you sound to me like you're doing it for the right reasons (for you, not someone else!) and you seem clear in your mind what you need to do - that is the first big hurdle, along with taking the plunge to join up!
The plan does work and it can change your life!
Keep your chin up, and...

I'm 5' 4" and my doctor has said ideally I should be somewhere between 9st 7lb and 10 st 7lb - I can't ever imaging being that thin!
When I started out, I wasn't really thinking about weight, I was looking more about dress size and appearance. Even since, I've never really thought about a...
Morrisons Eat Smart Extra Light Soft Cheese? 1.5 syns per 28g.
It's marked in my food directory as a HE-A but it's not in my Food Optimising book to give you the exact amount (it's quite old now!). I'm sure someone else will help out.

Seen this website loads of times and had some useful info from here, so thought it was time I joined in properly.
Been following the slimming world plan for 2 and a half years so my losses have slowed right down now. Looking for new ideas and...
