Just After a Little Reassurance, I Suppose...

Why are you having this moment of doubt? From what I've read it sounds like you're doing great and I'd just say: keep going! :) In fact I've been using MFP too and also have these moment of doubts, which often lead me to reach for the naughty food :(. If you're still staying on track, despite...

Recovering from Binge eating - is the slimming world diet way forward?

I definitely binge eat and have done on and off since I became a teen (21 now), though I've not gone to the drs about it. I would highly recommend SW, as once you're following plan, you start to enjoy such a variety of healthier foods, that you find you don't have so much of a taste for your...

PE experience put you off exercise for life?

I hated PE because right from the start you could see the PE teachers favoured the more athletic girls who were good at sports and they always looked exasperated at the overweight kids or the ones who lacked skill. If a poor performer did do well, they were often patronising / shocked. :( It was...

    The most hated 'fat' word?

I don't think that's a moan, I agree totally! I really don't appreciate being told 'Oooh you don't need to lose weight', when the fact is I'm classed as obese and need to lose weight for my health (as well as to look fabulous) ;). I'll get this from naturally slim friends and friends who could...

Why do I find myself running to the loo?

I find after getting back on track, it takes my body a while to adjust but if you think there could be a trigger write down a food diary and when you need the loo and see if there's any relation between the two. It could also be the nature of the food...I find if I've been good for a while...

    Which diet to follow??

I mix and match Red, Green and EE, so I have a variety of meals, which I love. I've done only EE before and found my weight loss slightly slower than if I've mixed it up, but only slightly. I've still had good losses with EE. I also find Red and Green days encourage more fruit and veg onto my...

    100% SWers - 1 day at a time :)

Honk! A perfect second day! The first time I've managed not to mess up the second day in weeks, having gone through a bad patch of binging and telling myself 'I'll start again tomorrow'. Food and exercise planner plus SW Online is really keeping me focused. They're taped to my bedroom door as a...

Syn Free Chicken Gyros style kebabs

I made this tonight and it was delicious! I reduced the amount of salt, as I'm conscious of my high blood pressure but it was still fab. I served it on lots of shredded iceberg lettuce with SW chips and a dash of garlic sauce. :)

    Slimming World Quiche

I've tried flavoured cottage cheese before and it still turns out lovely and tasty. I tend to add some dried herbs or spice to give it a different flavour each time anyway. I used silicone cupcake & mini star moulds to make my SW quiche into mini quiches today so I can pop one in my mouth...

    Flavoured Quark

Hi! I'm living abroad at the moment and there's a very nice flavoured quark that I've been wondering about in terms of syns? Can anyone work it out for me quickly? I don't have online at the mo. :( I'd love to think it's similar to a mullerlight but don't want to be caught out and eat tons...

    STUCK!! Help needed

Do you try different days with Original, Green, EE? Alternating might give you some variety and give you a boost. Aim to try a new breakfast, lunch, dinner (and even HEXs and Syns if you're feeling adventurous) once a week. Plan out your meals too so you can keep track of what you're buying and...

    SW Free smash pizza

Made Smash pizzas with boyfriend last night. Great success! Used passata with mixed herbs, garlic and a little black pepper and mild chilli powder for the pizza sauce and toppings were tuna and sweetcorn for him and bacon, red peppers, red onion and sweetcorn for me. (I'd have thrown in green...

ESSENCES - FLAVOURS FROM AMERICA - ideas neede

My boyfriend likes to make me a low synned 'milkshake' by crushing lots of ice, a little semi-skimmed milk, options hot chocolate powder and sweetner in a blender. Maybe they would work well in this? Or added to plain yoghurts or fromage frais? They sound fantastic!

KFC Chicken done the SW way

Just to add, the next day I mixed the same mix of herbs and spices (well I've bought them now! :o) into some passata, poured over chicken breasts and skinned drumsticks and baked and they were gorgeous. Give it a try!

KFC Chicken done the SW way

I tried this last night with the boyfriend who's on SW too. We adore KFC. We followed the recipe exactly from the first page and agreed it had that salty spicy flavour of KFC but with the amount of mixed spice it definitely has a moroccan edge to it! Was still lovely as I'm always on the look...

    Egg & Gammon loaf

I just made one! It's lovely! I used bacon too, added a little onion (chopped up and cooked in fry light) and I used diced tomato instead of red pepper as I couldn't get hold of one today (but was desperate to make it ;) )! There are lots of slices so would be good for a picnic / lunches.
