    Substituting oils for HEXB

It's not going to make any difference to your actual weight loss, the purpose of HEXes is to ensure you're getting adequate nutrients. Extra virgin olive oil has enough fibre to count as a HEX whilst still being "good" fats. Its up to you whether you tweak, but using a different oil instead will...

Hi all - im on EE, how many syns in marks pesto pasta pinenut salad? the small one?

Morrison's Eat Smart Pasta and Sauce

Its the decimal system - 1 kilogram is the same as 1 litre if you're talking standard density stuff (eg solids, oils, water etc). Obviously things have slightly different densities eg oil floats on water etc, but not enough to make a difference on this scale. It wont work when you're weighing...

    Syns in tablets

Yes those may well have syns in as they're oil and not "medication" in the same way prescribed meds are (dont want to start a flame war on what counts as medication here, fans ;) ) (eg cod liver oil is 2 syns a tsp, same as any oil) - but at the end of the day it will still be miniscule in terms...

Morrison's Eat Smart Pasta and Sauce

    So the whole thing weighs 400 (water) + 110 (dry mix) = 510g. So if it's 0.5 syns per 100g it's 0.5 x 5.10 = 2.55 syns, round up to 2.5. For the 1 syn per 100g one it's obviously 1x 5.10 = 5.1 syns, round down to 5. :)

    Quinoa

Both seeds and grains are synned on a red day anyway. (In fact many seeds are also synned on a green day as well.)
  237. ermintrude

    Syns in tablets

No you shouldnt, and even if they did have syns in it would add up to something ludicrous like 10 calories so even at 4 a day for 3 weeks it's going to have zero effect on your weight loss.

Lost 3lb in 4 months - getting beyond a joke!

It sounds like youre doing everything OK - are you actually *measuring* your HEXes, like cheese etc? And how many syns does your wine & takeaway add up to at the w/e? EPC Italian Balsamic Dressing, less than 3% fat

Liquids will be pretty much 15g = 15ml as theyre pretty 'solid', no air in them. So 67 kcal per 100g = (67 x 0.15) = 10.05 cal per tbsp, divide by 20 = 0.5 syns a tbsp

    Aldi fat free glucose sweets

Yep ruthiebusybee is right, theyre just a straight 1 syn per 20 calories. Most sweets are fat free anyway (except chocolate) so the label is a bit of a con. All sweets are made of sugar - ie glucose, sucrose, fructose etc.
