    From Slimming World to Rosemary

I started RC in February. At the time, I was obese (BMI over 30). The first two weeks were horrible! I realise now that I was very dependent on comfort eating and junk food. Now I'm only three pounds away from goal weight and my taste buds have changd completely - instead of chocolate and...

    Burger King

Thanks, Stacey, that's really useful. I went out with hubby a few weeks ago to a Harvester - they put the calories on their menus now, so that makes it a lot easier. Some options have more calories than others, of course! *cough* dessert *cough*

    Well done! Very impressive!!!

    Race for life

Yes, I did it too. Finished in 45 mins - 10 mins faster than last year. For the first time, I jogged part of the way instead of power walking all the way round. As you say, the exercising has made us fitter; I didn't train especially for the race either and I've certainly never jogged before!

    Thinking of joining......

Hi, it doesn't matter how much weight you want to lose, you will still be made welcome. You can certainly cook your own meals for the RC plan - the magazine is full of recipes and there are recipe videos on rosemaryconley.tv which you can follow. The only downside to RC is that you still have to...

    Solo slim??

The Solo Slim food is very tasty. When you open the pouches, it can look a bit unappetising - rather like baby food! But all the meals I'e tried so far taste good. The thai green curry, chicken korma and moroccan tagine are very good. You can add veggies and some extra rice to the meals to bring...

Chocolate and zero coke :-((((((( what's your weakness?

Me, too! I don't seem to want chocolate any more. It 'costs' so many calories for just a couple of squares that I'd rather have something more filling instead.

    1st month total - fail!!!

You have done fantastically well - please don't beat yourself up about this. If you stick with it, you will lose a stone and more. I lost 10lb in the first month. It's taken me 8 weeks to lose a stone, but I gort there and so will you!

    Diet food we hate

I can't stand Quorn. I made a Rosemary Conley moussaka with Quorn some years ago and couldn't eat it. Also hate tomatoes and lettuce, which makes salads interesting!

Hi, new here - its all so quiet.......

Well done - you may see the other two pounds disappear at next week's weigh in. Sometimes the scales take a while to catch up. I'll have your fruit n fibre if you don't want it! :-)

    Something about yourself

Started four weeks ago. Starting weight was 11 stone 13. Lost half a stone in the first 3 weeks - the next weigh in is tomorrow. My first target is 11 stone; I haven't set any other targets beyond that, but need to get down to roughly 9.5 stone.

So why do you want to loose weight?

I want to lose weight for health reasons, as there's a histoey of diabetes in my family. My doctor recently said I was obese, so I knew I had to do something.

What Food or items to do use / eat every day on RC

I'm eating salad nearly every day - loads of peppers, sweetcorn, celery, beetroot etc. Not lettuce, though, I don't like it. Also I have a Mullerlite yoghurt every day as part of the milk allowance, as I don't really like milk and only have a splash on cereal. I drink herbal or fruit teas, so...

Hi, new here - its all so quiet.......

I wonder if it would help if our forum was on the same level as SW etc, instead of having to drill down another level? It makes it that much harder to find.

    hiya, i'm new

I've tried both SW and WW in the past. I was very hungry on WW and could figure out the points system, while SW didn't really teach me anything about portion control. I've found the RC plan very educational so far - I never realised that a portion of Cadbury's chocolate was only three or four...

Hi, new here - its all so quiet.......

I chose a Zumba class, as I don't like aerobics and find it boring. The Zumba is great - I love the dance moves and all the wiggling is great for the waist and hips! The hunger does lessen after the first few weeks. Your stomach will get used to smaller portions, especially if you choose the...

    Today!

Doing well this week - I've done loads of walking this week and chosen healthy snacks, like pineapple and Mullerlights. I've only being doing the plan for 3 weeks and I've gotz so much energy. I think it's because I'm not eating junk food any more. Before, I used to struggle to stay wake in the...

    have a degree in dithering

Hi Mazie. I've been doing RC for nearly 3 weeks now. I've got 2.5 stone to lose and I've almost lost the first half stone already. I prefer this plan because it teaches portion control and you can still have ready meals if you want. I'm sure you can do it, welcome to the forum!

    weekend or weekdays

Yes, I prefer weekdays, too. They have a structure that seems to get lost at the weekend; somehow it's more tempting to indulge and eat too many calories on Saturdays!

    Today!

Hubby is out this evening, so I had a Rosemary Conley meal (morroccan tagine) with pitta bread and veggies. Very nice and I have enough calories left over for some chocolate!

    Today!

I was doing fine, until I went to have dinner with my elderly mother. She doesn't understand diets. She'd cooked lamb chops, chipolatas and roast potatoes cooked in oil, which was tasty but hardly low fat. Fortunately, I was very good for the rest of the day.

How healthy is a healthy extra?

To be honest, this is the one thing that's slightly putting me off joining SW. Even Rosemary Conley agrees that you need healthy fats like nuts and seeds, so surely they could be incorporated into the plan as healthy extras. And I really don't understand how blending fruit could alter the...

    Silly Question About Group

Thanks for the answers. I'm not so bothered about using cards, but cheques would beeasier than having to withdraw lots of cash.

    Silly Question About Group

Hi, I'm new to this forum and coming back to SW after too many years of trying other plans that didn't work! I have a question about group and can't find the answer on the SW website. My question is, can you pay by cheque or credit card, or do the consultants only accept cash? I'd like to pay...

New to the forums, old to SW, need a kick up the bum!!

Hi, Em. I'm also new to this forum and old to SW. My BMI is over 30 and my family has a history of diabetes. I didn't get on too well last time with the red and greed days, so I'm hoping Extra Easy will work out better. I've come online as I won't be able to join a group until the end of Feb...
