That's brilliant! You definitely need to remember to praise yourself. 4lbs OFF is not 4lbs on and it's just 3lbs away from your half stone sticker!!! :D
Yup, finding that balance is mental hard. I guess if we could bottle it we'd be millionaires. My key thing would be not buying in biscuits/ crisps/ chocolate.
It's a guaranteed bad week if I have that stuff in the house, total binge.
I'm slowly learning to love fruit and veg in the way that I...
Thanks Mandy, that's great advice and food for thought. I've been wondering all week "what do I do now" and I see now, as you say that I just need to carry on with my new lifestyle. I guess I need to stop thinking diet.
I wasn't going to go tomorrow night but I think that might be a slippery...
Thank you :D
Don't be so hard on yourself, you're doing really well. You have a little one to look after and I could barely remember my own name at that stage of motherhood! :p
11 weeks is great motivation. Aim to lose 1lb a week and you'll be well in the 10 stones before you go. Imagine...
This thread couldn't have started at a better time for me. I hit target last Wednesday and was elated. However 4 days on and I'd say "scared" is a better to describe how I feel.
I really didn't receive any advice from my leader about maintaining (I intend to make a point of asking for some this...
*waves* hey you! I didn't get notification of your reply to my last post and only saw it this morning when I logged on to add my before and after pics. So sorry! You must have thought me a complete ignoramus! How are you getting on??? xxx
OMG I'm ragin! I never got an email to say you'd replied and so I'm only seeing this now!
Thanks so much for the support. I eventually got my head and heart back on track and hit target last Wednesday :D
Feels bloomin' amazing but also a little scary. Now I have to maintain and tbh SW is a...
:wave_cry:
Oh dear. It hasn't been great at my end and tbh I've been avoiding this site as I've been so off plan.
I haven't gained but I haven't lost anything dramatic either. 1 measly pound in the past 5 weeks :(
I know why. I'm stressed, I'm eating comfort food and I've totally forgotten what...
Oh my gosh. Where to start?
Well I got a new job and I've found it really difficult settling into that. In turn that's meant I've been comfort eating. Not hugely bad stuff but definitely not watching my portions and eating out too often.
In the past month I've lost a pound and gained a pound...
Honestly that doesn't sound as bad as it could have been. You've had your wee night/ day now. Time to put it behind you and climb back up onto the wagon :)
I think it's really important to tell yourself that you are ALLOWED to eat off plan sometimes. I know I look forward to a big greasy...
I love those wee nights. My Mum is very good and lets us out about once a month. Sometimes I'm so darn tired though I'm nearly sleeping in my beer by half eight :p
Such a light weight since I had kids :)
I've been ok. Had a baked tatty for lunch and that really filled me, so not too snacky...
You could have knocked me down with a feather when I was told I'd lost 3.5!!!!!! lbs tonight :D
I'm just over my * week, so was obviously holding a little water and that's now gone. Just 5.5lbs to target!! Eeeek!! xx
It is indeed. Kids made pancakes but I limited myself to one tiny pancake and savoured every last morsel. It was enough really. Before I'd have devoured six at least :S
Good advice. I think I just needed it, and as you rightly say no point guilt tripping myself over it. Barr the confectionary the rest of my food was good.
Focusing on the positive ;)
Not at all bird, I actually think you weren't eating enough the past few days but this seems perfect. In my good weight loss weeks I've eat mostly free but little and often like your diary today. Definitely stops you from snacking on the bad stuff too :D
Hiya doll :)
Sorry I've been a bit absent. I'm on my * week and to say I'm a bit up and down would be an understatement. Shiny halo is well and truly OFF lol
Your diary looks fab, definitely seem to be in the zone and great variation today. How are you feeling? xx

Made a new discovery in snacks today. Batchelor's Pasta Pot Shots. I was actually craving macaroni cheese and I thought I'd give this a go as it was so low in syns. Actually really yummy, thick and creamy. Quite filling too, so WIN :D

Thanks for the Birthday wishes :bday:
My boys have just given me their pressies and I'm currently awaiting breakfast in bed :D
2 boiled eggs and nimble soldiers ;)
I feel fab, espec as it's almost TOTM and I've felt more and more bloated with each passing hour!
Had 2 squares of Dairy Milk but a normal dinner. Saving my "treats" :D for tomorrow. Don't want to undo all my hard work ;)
Hmmm it could just be all the sh*t leaving your system. I got that for a few weeks after ditching the Diet Coke and processed foods. Stick with it, it's just a detox period. Other than that make sure you're using all of your HEXA and HEXB. They aren't optional, your body needs them to stay...
will do ;) leaving in about 15 minutes to beat the queues!
I think you have to have posted a certain number of times. Last night I noticed that beside my name it said "add avatar"
et voila! :D
Gonna eat my lunch now and then nothing until weigh in. Excited but scared. Bloomin TOTM could spoil everything
I really wouldn't get disheartened by todays weigh in. Weight does fluctuate crazily from day to day. That's why you should only weigh once a week.
Sunday will be a whole...
Weigh in day. Sometimes I really hate that I have an evening weigh in. I know I should just eat the same as any other day but I find myself worrying about my choices. So silly but can't help it.
Feeling pretty out of sorts with impending TOTM. Really hoping for at least a lb off as I've been...
That curly wurly malarkey really makes me :8855:Who wants a rock hard choc and toffee bar?! Plus you could break a tooth on it. Ridiculous!
I like to savour my little bar of Dairy Milk. You know the size you get in selection boxes. Good value for 4 points :D
Must give the Carbonara a go. I...

Christ that is impressive! I'm drooling just thinking about it actually. Have had a pretty hungry day. Bit pre-menstrual (well actually a lot) :cry:one minute and :8855:the next LOL
Can't believe it's weigh in has come around already. Seemed like a really fast week. It's my birthday on Thursday...
Right back at ya :D
I totally get what you mean. I'm loving being able to chat with you about SW on here. My husband is supportive but he doesn't really "get it" so I hate bending his ear about it.
Plus SW class is all well and good, but that's only once a week for an hour and I was feeling a...
Have weigh in butterflies for tomorrow. I've recorded absolutely everything I've eaten this week, I've meal planned and I've tried lots of new recipes. I feel like I've been really good, so I'm gonna be honest. If I haven't lost I'll be totally gutted.
Going by clothes alone though I really...
It's a vegetarian ready meal. You get them in the chilled section of Sainsburys. Really tasty and filling for the Syns. Tastes like a real Indian takeaway. Yum :D
I really recommend buying the pre chopped onions and potatoes etc. Asda does the best range. Not having to stand and chop everything makes it seem so easy and there's no peelings or mess to clear up xx
Yes smug! That's me :p
I think that's what has always tripped me up when trying to lose weight in the past. I always go too far with the snacks or can't resist eating "just one more chocolate". And you're totally right, inevitably that yum feeling of the choccies fades quickly, and is replaced...
Another winner! :eating: Thank you :D
The only thing I had a slight issue with was peeling the peppers skin. Got there in the end tho. I also added a tsp of lazy chillies for a bit of a burn :)
:( How can he do that?!
What an unreasonable bugger, and why the hell didn't the customer say that there was a misunderstanding. Suspension is ridiculous, complete over reaction. Very very cross on your behalf!
I'm not surprised you're craving the chocolate but don't let those...
OMG! That was a real test. Well done :D
Do you not feel fab knowing you resisted temptation?
I had my chum round for lunch this avo. After a healthy lunch we had a cuppa and I managed 1 jaffa. She had 3 or 4 (naturally skinny... grrr) and I had to use all my might to resist. Really glad I did...
I'd have to say that this is the thing I feel doesn't work with Slimming World classes. Mine is reasonably sized too. 5.30 - 6.00 is weigh in. Image Therapy (basically a good aul gossip) is 6.00 - 7.00. However it ALWAYS runs over. I'm lucky to get out by 7.15pm. I think that's just too long...
Thanks bird, he's been mentally unwell for a while now. More strain on him than anyone else but sometimes it just gets to me.
The Cava was delish! I can't lie. Although I was very good and once I got down to just under halfway I threw the rest down the sink. I had about 6 100ml glasses... but...
Ooooh ok, that's great. I'm starting a new job at the end of March and dinner time will be limited so I've invested in a slow cooker. Gonna give this a trial run! Thanks guys :)
:woohoo:Found you! I'm not so great with tracking people on threads yet. Am I missing an easy way?
I totally agree that class is a great support BUT if you don't have a motivational leader it can also be a bit of a downer.. I only know this as I previously tried WW and lasted 2 weeks...
Gosh. Don't laugh but are the potatoes done in the slow cooker too? Sorry if that seems like a silly question, it's just that I'm quite new to actual cooking :/
Hi :D I'm a newbie on the forum too!
I totally sympathise with the eating out/ or away thing. You're pretty much powerless to control what's put in/ on the food, especially when so many cooks seem to think "butter doesn't count". *sigh*
I'll have my fingers crossed for you this week and that...
Wise friends. You will feel this strange kind of guilt at first. As if you're naughty not working lol but that soon fades! ;)
I've just had one of those Alpen Light bars. Good amount of eating for 3 syns. I am very snacky today though so went shopping instead. New shoes = distraction
That was me too. I had worked from 16 and was a single Mum with my eldest. Not working wasn't really an option. So when my hubby suggested it a few yrs bk I grabbed the opportunity with both hands :D
Best thing ever. Was lovely being about for the kids. They don't need me quite the same these...
Bikini! Oooh I wish I was that daring. But never say never Haha
My boys are 10 and 6. I was a stay at home mum the past few years but just got a full time job. Start at the end of March. Quite daunting...
Speak soon xx
We r so similar! Very similar weight and target too :)
You can definitely do this. What I keep telling myself is that if I don't get it off now it'll only get harder with age. I'm determined to get a swimsuit on on holiday and feel semi decent.
I can't wait to follow your progress. I think...
*raises hand* honestly I used to do my beans like this. One tin, dollop of butter and an extra squirt of tomato ketchup. Sounds gross but honestly it is moreish. DON'T try it lol.
I'm still weaning myself off bad habits like this :S
Saturdays Food Diary (Extra Easy)
Breakfast
Oats So Simple Original Sachet (HEXB)
Alpro Light Unsweetened Soya Milk (HEXA)

Hi ladies and gents :D
I'm an almost 32 year old Mum of 2 from Belfast in Northern Ireland. I have been stuck in a rut weight wise for the past few years. A mixture of laziness and low self esteem.
While out shopping in Tesco just after Christmas I ran into my cousin (one of those cousins you...
Oh ok, I was a bit worried about cooking it too long on the hob so I really only browned the meat and then added it to the dish. I'll know to let it simmer longer now. Thanks :D
I had to ask my leader about this last week as I went a bit mental on Valentines and wasn't sure whether to limit my Syns for the next few days.
Her advice was no. Put the crazy off plan night down as flexible syns and just get back on plan. Do not limit yourself because that's like punishing...
Just made this. Used fromage frais and quark mixture in place of the white sauce. Was really really tasty. Although quite watery at the bottom? Anyone know how to make meat mixture thicken better? TIA
I'm definitely going to make this tonight. Was wondering what the Quark tastes like (on another thread) but sharp and yoghurty doesn't sound too scary :D
I'm going to try Lasagne this evening. My leader recommended using half a tub of Quark/ half fromage frais and then cheese allowance grated on top. I've just opened the Quark and have to say I'm not convinced....
Has anyone tried it yet? Does it separate when cooked because that would really...
Have to just say a big :thankyou: I made your recipe and I've just finished the last bowl. It's divine and has really saved me snacking on naughty stuff :D
I'm on the extra easy, mostly because my leader didn't really explain the red/ green option :/
I had original oats so simple for brekkie today and then homemade leek and potato soup for lunch, followed by pineapple fingers. That's me now. No more food until after weigh in. I'll be happy to get...
You've all inspired me. I went out to Asda this morning and got some leeks and a bag of those already diced potatoes and diced onion. Currently cooking up a storm :)
Oooh thanks for sharing this! I love my fish and have been eating the Birds Eye bag ones, but they're not as low in syns as this. Going on my shopping list :D
Hi guys. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. Had my first gain last week. Was only half a lb but still, I have felt really demotivated all week. Can't say I've been overly good food wise either. Bread is my nemesis and I feel like stuffing my face with it all day every day atm. Grrr I want the...
Oh well done! I'm new on here too and I've been doing Slimming World since New Year. I previously tried Weight Watchers but I just couldn't get my head around counting points all day every day. Different strokes for different folks :)
Hi all,
I've been attending my local Slimming World since New Year and really enjoy the support at group. However I really miss that support the other 6 days of the week. Hopefully this forum will be the answer :)
