    low weight loss

Ive tried explaining, i can see how those of us with huge losses can be completely demoralising to those who don't. They actually have the advantage in fat loss. I give up. I was not being detrimental as, as I clearly tried to point out, I'm one of those too who had dramatic first week losses...

    low weight loss

If you were being careful before you started on this diet then chances are you will have already depleted your glycogen and associated water stores so won't see the dramatic losses that many on a very low calorie diet experience in those first couple of weeks. Dangers of relying on multivitamins

Spot on. I don't think anyone on here presenting facts against the dangers of DIY VLCDs underestimates the desperation. As a fan of a VLCD thanks to my doctor suggesting one as the way forwards I know what it is like to go against popular public opinion. But NOBODY except the ill informed...

Does losing inches mean more to you th then losing lbs?

I've just thought, this time round I haven't even measured myself. Both times previously I measured arms, chest both on and under boobs (if I had any!), waist, hips and thighs. I just stick to the scales now. So I guess the priority is days completed followed by weight with inches not even on...

There's no way on this earth you haven't lost fat this week no matter what the scales say. So, the only thing that can account for you scales anomaly is fluid retention. After all it's fat we want to lose rather than water. You're still achieving this whatever the scales show. I know this...

    Water works!

You need to drink enough consistently throughout the day to give you light coloured wee. That's the same whether you are SSing or eating conventionally. The minimum recommended liquid consumption is a minimum. Don't be tempted to neck a load in one go as that can be harmful.

I have to say that is rather belittling of the issues. Try telling those with other addictions that a forum can help them as much as counselling and see how far you get. Having lost substantial amounts of weight twice to get to goal whilst being a member of 2 forums I can tell you I've tried...

Ah now this is something my CDC has encouraged me to sort out in order to encourage a change of habit when I go back to conventional food again. Up until 10 days ago I'd have me first pack at about 2.30pm then the next at 6.30ish and the last when my hubby would have a supper of cereal later...

It depends. If I'm feeling emotionally fragile I don't even want to know my official weigh in result. Other times I'll weigh daily. If I'm desperate to know I make a point of avoiding the scales and trying to focus on the fact that my greatest achievement is control. With control comes...

That has to be a weight off your mind. At least once you get the tack issue settled you'll know that Charlie is just being a little bugger rather than you you being a cruel mum for working a horse with health issues.
