    walking for weight loss - is it any good?

    I'm planning on doing a lot of walking along with my Diet, as I've signed up for a 26k walk. I downloaded something called Endomondo to my nokia for free. It shows you were you've been on a wee map which is quite cool.

    1st weigh in

    Fantastic! Well Done. :) I'm getting on fine with it. Just trying to make sure I am more organised with food in, as I am a nightmare for just picking things up on the run at work. My first weigh in is Tuesday morning.

    Re-Joined....

    Just wanted to share my Horse & dog with you :)

    Is anyone else doing the London Moonwalk?

    I've just started training for the Edinburgh one. Going to start the training plan early, so that if I start to struggle I'll have time to repeat a week rather than move on to the next one. Probably going to do the first or second week twice before I move just till I get into the swing of things.

    What diets have you tried?

    I did Scottish Slimmers and got on okay. Slowly but okay. Have tried diet pills, they were a waste of money. Weight Watchers confused me so much I never started. Currenty on Lighter Life. It's working but it's really not agreeing with me. I'm struggling.

    SUN 20/1 - Mini goals for this week.

    Scared and crying? Not anymore, here is the new me! I AM BACK!!!!

    Elie just wanted to say hey as I'm new too. I have 73lbs to lose to start with. That will take me down to 12.5 stone. The plan I'm on says I need to drink 4 litres of water a day. It's day 3 for me and 3 1/2 litres is the best I've managed so far. Hope you have all the success you want.

    Calling all you horsey people!!

    Am glad to find other horsey folk here. I have 2 Highland Ponies. A 19 year old mare called Rosie and a just turning 3 year old called Fiadh. I've not ridden for the past 2 months now due to my weight, as I feel it's too much to ask of Rosie. But I hope to be able to get back to it soon.
