    Slimming World weight loss

I plod along at 1lb a week until recently when I lost 2lb. Before I joined slimming world and dieted at home I used to get frustrated at how 'little' I'd lose a week and would give up after a month. This time because I'm actually eating properly and I'm enjoying the food that I eat I have stuck...

    Super free food : /

I've never been a fan of breakfast (used to drive my mother crazy!) so usually just have a piece of fruit with either a yogurt or alpen light cereal bar, or sometimes just fruit. It's bad that I don't eat breakfast but its the way I've always been, it doesn't seem to affect my weightless :)

A lurker who will lurk no more! (Slimming World)

Hi all, I've been a member for quite a while but haven't posted for a very long time. After trying lots of 'from home' diets where I lose weight then gain it back (plus some!) I have finally joined Slimming World and have been attending group for 4weeks, going into my 5th. I'm enjoying not...

I've also used this recipe but add more peppers (and sometimes a courgette), low fat sausages and some smoked paprika, it's more veg, less syns and still tastes just as yummy!

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Hey ladies can I join you? I'm new and am going to start SW from home tomorrow, I will go to group eventually but at the minute it's hard - I had a baby boy 6 weeks ago, 2 older children (6 and 3) and a husband who does long hours/works away for one week out of the month so it's hard to find...

    weight watchers vs slimmingworld

I've tried both and WW is the one for me. Like others have said, WW is better for portion control - with SW you can eat as much as you want when it comes to healthy food but when I'm a sucker for treats and takeaways! SW syns are extremely high for this and I felt like I was denying myself - I...

    *** DISAPPPOINTED NEWBIE *** :(

This ^^^ This week I only lost .5lb but my jeans have got baggier this week - I think it's to do with fat and muscle weighing the same so even though you're losing fat you might be building muscle at the same time so it balances out and makes it look like you've not lost anything on the scales...

So it's the first time I'm making one of my orders for a birthday cake since re-starting WW. It's in the oven and smells soooooo nice! It's my fave, a white chocolate mud cake! Indian takeaway (again!)

Thank you! In the end I fully pointed the curry because it was still a big serving but halved the rice because the foil tin it came in was a small one person size. I skipped the side so DH had all of it to make up for the small amount of rice and had a nan to myself instead. 43pp but oh so...

Do you trust the points wheel?

I am going to get the calculator but I'm using the wheel for now, it's not so bad when you get the hang of it. I've found lots of things that are different so I use it for EVERYTHING now, even WW pre-pointed stuff, for example, 1 wrap is 3pp points but 2 is 5pp, yay! :)

    Indian takeaway (again!)

I Know the points from my eat out guide, I was just wondering if the points stated are for the whole tub? ProPoints SIMPLY FILLING DIARY ... So close to goal ......

You could try normal foods if you really want to use all your points, I don't tend to use 'low fat' things as such, I use my extra weekly points for treats. The problem with me is once I eat a little bit of chocolate that's all I have on my mind and before I know it I'm raiding the cupboard...

ProPoints My "eat less junk" diary :)

It was a take away chow main, I did google about it being the whole tub or not but it seemed to be a split decision so I went for the safe option of over pointing. It was in a LARGE tub and it's quite oily, so I assumed it couldn't possibly be for the whole tub, if so I shall be eating this...

Do you trust the points wheel?

I was looking at the generic bread. So my cheapy asda bread is only 2pp? I doubled the amount to see if it came out as 5pp like it sometimes does but still firmly in the '4'. 2pp less over all! Yay! I shall be using my wheel for everything from now on :)

Do you trust the points wheel?

At the moment if I don't know the points I'm using my wheel. I know that in the pocket guide it says white bread is 3pp, I used my wheel out of curiosity on my bread and it came out as firmly in the 2pp not even borderline 3pp. So I'm wondering if everything else I've used it on is correct or not.

    Need some arse kicking...

I bought the magazine yesterday too :) I found the same with group, I couldn't go sometimes because I had nobody to look after my children if DH was working late, then I got caught in the same pattern of thinking - "I'm not going this week so it's ok to have a 'treat'" and then lost control for...

I work from home Gracie, I started out by making cupcakes for my little sisters party - somebody asked where my mum bought them and she told her that I made them, she then came to me and said she'd pay for some and it's kinda just moved on from there.
