Anybody NOT put the weight back on and had to restart? Any long term success stories?

Great thread. I am about a stone away from goal and am quite frankly dreading it. I have been following Exante for 10 weeks and am delighted with the results so far. I have just started eating dinner with the family at the weekend and am amazed at how quickly the weight goes up as a result. I...

    Going back onto food...

I think you will have to expect a certain amount of weight gain from the water but this will even itself out over time as your body finds its natural level. The key is to give it a couple of weeks and introduce the food slowly. I also believe white carbs to be the cause of most weight problems...

10 weeks of TS - anyone wanna join?

Bloody hell Skinni, it really is just us  Anyway, after another 2lbs loss last week after having a meal out I decided I would stick to the plan during the week and have a 2 meal replacements and a normal evening meal over the weekends. I did this last weekend so will be interested to...

10 weeks of TS - anyone wanna join?

Was relieved to find I'd actually lost 2lbs this week so fairly happy with that. Bit disappointing though as I'm sure I could be consuming more calories than this and still lose 2lbs in a week but I suppose I need to look at the big picture. Will reassess at the end of this next cycle which is...

10 weeks of TS - anyone wanna join?

Don't think I'm going to have a big loss this week as had a sneaky look at the scales and i'm only a lb down. This thread seems to have slowed down a bit. I hope that doesn't mean people are going off piste! Well done skinniminx. Sounds like you're still in the zone.

    Help!!

This is such a huge area and I don't think anyone has truly cracked the secret. There have been some really good suggestions made here and I, for one, will be getting the Beck book soon as I'm worried about what will happen when the discipline of total meal replacement is removed and I have to...

    Drinks question please...

I drink sainsburys green tea with jasmine and it hasn't stopped me from losing 18lbs in 6 weeks :D I also drink Sainsburys fizzy strawberry & kiwi water which helps with the boredom of plain water. The main thing is don't drink anything that has citric acid in it hence why no fruit teas...

What kind of foods are you eating? If they're protein based then you should be ok. Are you still losing weight whilst having the extra 100 cals?

Thanks for all the messages. So, today's the day. Am feeling very positive as managed to lose 6lbs this last week to give me a 1 stone loss for the 4 week period. I still think I'm going to have the 2 packs plus a 600 cal meal in the evening. Did you all lose weight on AAMW or STS or...

OMG I did it :D I lost another 2lbs so that's a 6lb loss for the week (my best yet) which means I have now lost a stone in 4 weeks!! I'm so happy. Also lost 3.5 inches off my waist. What a way to start the weekend. Oh and my dh and dcs are arriving from France tonight so we won't be living...

Well that's 4 weeks completed  I'm not going to WI until tomorrow morning but I'm not expecting any more than the 4lbs loss from earlier in the week which will mean a 12lb loss over the 4 weeks. Starting the AAMW tomorrow so will be having either chicken/turkey/fish with steamed green...

Total Solution Feeling nervous about AAMW and what to eat

Thanks for that Rachel (by the way I've been reading your diary and am finding it so inspirational). So, it's really just stick to the low carb foods then? That's fine as I have been following a lc diet for years now. I think I'll just stick to chicken & salad or fish & steamed veg. Can't...

Total Solution Feeling nervous about AAMW and what to eat

I'm going to be starting week 5 on saturday so it's supposed to be my AAMW. I'm feeling very nervous about it all as what I like about TS is the fact that food is completely taken out of the equation. So, how do you get through it and what kinds of things did you eat?

Wow, some great losses there. Amazing stuff. I have been so proud of myself today. It was someone's birthday and another's leaving day so there were tons of Krispy Kreme doughnuts and cakes lying around. I managed to resist every single one of them. Also, went to the pub after work for the...

Hi alittlepoison and welcome. I haven't tried any other TFR diet as I was put off by the cost and the fact that I just don't do group therapy. When I found out about Exante I was so excited as it offered everything I wanted. I've only been doing it for 2 weeks but have found it quite easy to...

    Chocolate shake dilemma!

i don't mind the chocolate flavour (in fact not too bothered about any of them to be honest ;)) but I'm loving the idea of using mint tea or coffee to mix the chocolate shake with. Yay, 1/2 a stone gone

So, it was week 2 WI for me today and I lost 3lb which brings my total up to 7lbs. Not bad for someone who has had to deal with losses of on average 1.5lbs/month on straight low carbing. I really, really hope I can maintain this rate of loss as then I will be well on my way to my goal of losing...

    Hmmm could do better

Thanks for all the messages, they really help keep the motivation going. Starsy - you must have been so disheartened with your loss on weightwatchers. Really hope you have a good result on the scales tomorrow. Dance_Magic -just what I needed to hear. A great result for 4 weeks! :D
  52. bornagain

    Hmmm could do better

Thanks guys. As long as the loss doesn't stop completely then I should be fine. My biggest motivation is seeing the numbers going down but as soon as they stop the demons start taking over and the what the hell feelings result in me eating rubbish again.
  53. bornagain

    Hmmm could do better

Week 1 WI today and have not budged since my 4lb loss from mid week. Have to say I am disappointed but not entirely surprised as I lose weight sooooo slooooowly. When I did low carbing it took me 2 years to lose 2.5 stone. I think my metabolism must be particularly resistant - lucky me eh...

Might have a look for that when I go to shops this weekend as a nice change Princess_Ames :)
  56. bornagain

I know I should only weigh once a week but....

I think you're going to have to be realistic and not expect the same rate of weight loss as those who have more to lose. You may find that your weekly loss this week is much lower.
  57. bornagain

    Coke Zero

I think you have to take a balanced view sometimes. If drinking coke zero makes all the difference to you sticking to Exante and losing weight to giving in and going back to bad eating habits then it's perhaps worth it. On balance there is probably more of a risk to one's health to be morbidly...

    Boullion

Yes, you can get it in the supermarket. I really like it. It's like having soup. Makes a change from the plain water or sweet shakes. I've been having a litre of it a day.
  60. bornagain

    Boullion

My understanding after reading the what can you drink on TS thread is that Marigold Bouillon powder is the one to go for. I still don't get it though as there are calories and carbs in the powder and even if you're only having a few cups a day it does add up.
  61. bornagain

Just started yesterday and feeling nervous

Phew, day 3 nearly done. I have drunk over 4l today but some of that was coke zero and bouillon. The rest was water (2l), green tea and mint tea and coffee. Hope this is ok. Not feeling hungry at all - I'm amazed.
