    Salmon fishcake and a lovely big salad. After eating badly for a couple of days this dinner was not only better for me but I think I actually enjoyed it more. Felt very satisfied but not sluggish or over full like I have been feeling.

    You could try low fat cottage cheese, high protein but relatively low fat and cals. I don't like it but my husband eats it after going to gym. Have heard quinoa is good source of protein. It's on my shopping list this month but have yet to try it.

    Thanks I think I'll pick some up next time I go shopping and then see whether I like them and how the hubby reacts to them. He's coped pretty well with me replacing most meat with quorn so he might be ok with them :-)

    Thanks for the encouragement. Am sure I'll have plenty of questions along the way. Your weight loss is amazing, you've done so well. It's seeing peoples diaries and threads about their success that I find really helps motivate me and actually makes me believe I will get to my target.

    what does everyone have for breakfast?

    I have oats so simple porridge or occasionally a carefully measured portion of other cereal and find that keeps me full up to lunch if i drink lots of water. If i have a bit of extra time i will have scrambled egg whites on wholemeal toast, tasty and quite low calorie depending on the bread used.
