Did the new attack tonight, first time I've done anything more strenuous than legs bums and tums in a few weeks as I was laid up poorly, then after recovery have been away in Germany! Is it me or is track 9 really difficult to get the timing on? Found it really weird!

    Nature's free food

Yum! Wine sounds like a great idea, though I'd have no idea where to start! Mine are in the freezer, destined for breakfasts and crumbles!! I'd quite like to make jam to give as gifts but I imagine you need a lot of fruit for that!
  3. Miss.S

    Nature's free food

Yes I think I timed it just right, it's got pretty horrid outside since I came home!
  4. Miss.S

    Nature's free food

Morning all! I've just been out blackberrying and come back home with a huge bagful, as well as new knowledge of an eating apple tree just down the road! It sure beats paying for fruit at the supermarket or even the market! And best of all, it's all free/super free! And it got me thinking -...

    Do I take her advice?

Hi, Just read this post with interest as I recently read an article about 5:2 suggesting it could affect fertility in some women. Someone above mentioned seeing their GP before doing it, which I definitely feel would be a good idea. Ultimately, in my view, the weight may come off slower on SW...

    sw without sweetener/frylight

Yes I tend to sweat onions and veg etc in a little water instead of using frylight. When it comes to eggs you could poach or coddle instead of frying. Scrambled eggs you can do in the microwave. As for sweeteners, I suppose a lot of convenience foods have them but you could use honey in...

Finished Gone Girl, have to admit was a bit disappointed with the ending but never mind! Will probably still keep an eye out for her other books. Now what next?! Michael Connelly, Mark Haddon or Ian Mcewan?!

    Feeding the husband...

I used to think my OH was bad, he won't eat any green veg except frozen peas, and the only other veg he eats is onions, peppers, carrots and parsnips (roasted in honey, obv!) and he won't touch fish (which is ok as I don't really eat it much). But he does ALL the cooking! I wish he disliked...

What was the last film you saw?

Ooh thank you - your post reminded me I wanted to see Now you see me!! Must try to get hold of it when it comes out. The last film I saw at the cinema was Alpha Papa - absolutely brilliant. Had seen the trailer and was a bit apprehensive as it looked a bit pants, but after reading good reviews...

    Girls only! Nexplanon implant

Hi, I had implanon, which I know is a different hormonal make up. My first was awesome, easily fitted, no periods at all, no side effects that I noticed. My problem came when I has it replaced, was a nightmare to remove, my second one must have been placed wrongly as my arm was constantly itchy...

What's everyone reading at the moment?

Alias Grace is my favourite book ever :) Margaret Atwood is my favourite author. I recommend Cat's Eye and The Robber Bride if you ladies fancy some more of her work :) Ive had The Red House by Mark Haddon on the go for ages, just can't get into it, which is a shame as A Spot of Bother was...

What's everyone reading at the moment?

I fully agree, I don't think books will end up like music has. I kind of wish I did like kindles. They are certainly good if you like to have more than 1 book on the go at once, and if you are going on a trip, or simply for practical reasons, like space saving. I have used one but I thought it...

What's everyone reading at the moment?

I'm firmly anti kindle/ereader! I can see why people like them, but its not for me. I prefer the physicality and history of a real book :) Plus I'm an ex-bookseller, which probably clouds my view! If you type 'books 4 lyfe' into google images, you'll see the print I have framed in my lounge ;)
  17. Miss.S

What's everyone reading at the moment?

That's a bit weird! Maybe she's just a bit scatterbrained, or she doesn't give a monkeys! It is a bit rude stealing equipment though! Absolutely loving the new Attack. Glad they've taken the superman move out as I hate it! Hi, I was a VA member in Leeds and I loved it! Dead friendly helpful staff, loads of classes with good instructors, and nice clean, posh changing rooms. It is pricey, but I think you get what you pay for. I had to leave when I moved cities, and they gave me no trouble about cancelling or...

    Lactose shmactose

I don't know a specific name I'm afraid, but I'm sure if you put 'lactase capsules/tablets' into amazon or eBay you will come up with something! Apparently a lactose intolerance is not actually an intolerance, but rather that you lack the enzyme that processes lactose. Replace that enzyme and...

Essential beauty products - What are your bathroom must haves?

It's a hair oil, I add a little to the ends of towel dried hair and once dried and straightened it's silky smooth and so soft. Smells lovely too and you only need a teeny bit. Also good to smooth frizz and flyaways and split ends on dry hair, or define curls and gives your hair a lovely shine.
