    The best advice I've been given is not to focus on what you CAN'T have, but what you CAN. That makes much more sense to me than feeling fed up cos I can't have fish and chips for lunch and then a chocolate bar in the evening - well not if I want to lose weight that is :classic_big_grin:

    The basic rules are 5-15 syns a day UNLESS specified differently by your consultant. If your daughter has a particularly high BMI or is under 18 that would explain it. I would recommend as you don't have the guidelines of a consultant that you stick to the standard 5-15.

    You don't HAVE to have anything you don't want to on SW. All you need to do is make sure you syn whatever it is that you have that has sugar (or other non free foods) in it. Sweeteners are certainly not an essential part of the plan if you don't want to use them.

    So just to confirm. On green and EE days rice is free. On red days you can have rice only if its synned (and it's high in syns so not really worth it IMO!)
