Hello ladies! It's been awhile. I've been naughty, had a very hard time kicking the sugar habit this time. Sadly I have to admit that I gained most of my weight back. Booo, bad me! Really scarey how it can creep so quickly. Though on a happy note I am much healthier this time around. I...

I really hate it when the body acts up, it's the awful reminder that we still have to be careful with our bodies.

Are Old El Paso Wheat Tortillas low GI ?? Please reply asap

If it's normal white wheat flour then it isn't low GI or GL. There are some mulitgrain tortillas or whole grain wheat tortillas which would have a lower GI/GL than plain white wheat flour tortilla. Hi Annabelle and welcome to the forums. There are a lot of kind and helpful people here:) The ladies on the forum help me stay on track. Also keeping a food diary on here in the GI section helps me stay on track too, as I know I will have to post what I ate that day :)

I wasn't so strict this week with my low GL eating, but I did pretty okay. My stomach feels better than during the holidays where I was eating way too much high GL foods. I don't get bloated stomachs or acid burns, so that's always a plus with low GL foods :) I still have 2.8 lbs left to lose...

Today was one of my "I don't feel like eating meat" days. I'm not vegetarian, but there are times when the thought of meat just grosses me out, or the taste of it just isn't pleasing. Luckly I had some Alaskan Pollock in the freezer, I know fish is still meat but somehow I am still able to eat...

New Year, back on the GL bandwagon

Exactly what shoegirl says, that low GL is a lifestyle and not really a diet. It's not about this or that food is banned, it's about moderation when you do eat something high GL. So if you do eat something high GL, you can try to lower the effects by having something low GL. Vinegar and lemon...

I don't have a cold offically yet, but it does feel like I'm catching it or fighting the symptons of the cold this week. I usually eat really seedy and grainy rye bread, almost like a pumpernickel, or I use crispbread. The grainy and seedy rye breads make great open faced or toasted...
