Lucy's Refeed (Are we almost there yet? Yes we are!)

Wow - I obviously didn't stick to my plans to keep logging my process in refeeding & maintenance :o I just wanted to pop back to Minimins though and give a bit of encouragement as an old-timer. More than a year on, I am still slim and healthier than ever! I'm currently 8st 13 and although my...

Lucy's Refeed (Are we almost there yet? Yes we are!)

Oh dear, not updated for a week or so! Things have felt a little harder these past few days. I've been juggling a heavy work schedule, still feeling pretty unwell (checked with my doctor and neutrophils are low, which probably explains it) and surrounded by biscuits, cakes and desserts at...

I was doing well, this week's been a bit blah mentally - I've been attending too many work and social events with masses of unhealthy food being offered. I've actually been really good, but I've felt frustrating to have all these 'obstacles' in my way. I know I shouldn't think of food as 'bad'...

    Saddlebag's Refeed

Balance and moderation is definately key - a little bit of what you really fancy won't do any harm, it's too much of what you kinda-'suppose you want to'-impulse buy/eat that tends to be problematic ;) I think your approach to the BBQ sounds sensible, keep it clean and healthy for the most part...

Lucy's Refeed (Are we almost there yet? Yes we are!)

It does! Over here too, this Slim & Saver slipped into 30g bowl of cornflakes this morning - tut tut ;)

    Which products do I like?

I quite like the chicken soup on occasion :o In regards to porridge flavours, the brand that does Slim and Save products also does a maple and also an apple and cinnnamon flavour although I haven't tried them. I'm generally a two shakes and a meal girl though, with a bar once or twice a week.

Slim & Save newbie saying hello!

Hear hear! Lovely to have you with us and I'm sure you'll be dropping pounds like there's no tomorrow ;)

    Which products do I like?

I'm not a fan of the honey bar either Lose2Win - although tastes often change over the diet or so I've heard! Personally I reaaaally like the Lemon bars and quite like the occasional chocolate truffle bar (not a big chocolate fan otherwise they'd probably be ranked higher). Spag bol is a...

I've been drinking an awful lot of water the past few days, and I can't help wondering if that's helping things on the losses front? Going to keep it up and see :) Borders - we're in about the same position then! Maybe we'll even get to goal by March? Just think, by the beginning summer when...

Down to 11 4.2 this morning - what's with the sudden restart on the weight loss front over the last few days? Very pleased, and firmly in the normal range now! 2 stone and 4.2 lbs to go still though. I imagine I'll probably have about 2 stone to lose once Christmas etc is over (optimistically! ;) )

    Hello Everyone

Hiya - lovely to have you here! Feel free to join in threads and have a chatter with everyone. You've done really well so far and I can't wait to see your losses on Slim n Save :)

Wouldn't it be nice to lose a little every day? STS this morning but I did have a good loss the other day so not particularly complaining. I have a massive list of things to do today but I'm going to try and get a nice long walk in too as I've been rather sedentary the last couple of days!

Got a real bargain on eBay - must check out their auctions more often! Got 87 Bariatrix products for £33! Mainly chocolate shakes with some lemon bars etc - but that's about 37p an item. I need to get some more spag bol but all in all I'm well stocked for a long time to come ;)

You do need to be very careful with laxatives - they're for when you are direly backed up rather than to be used as a preventative measure I'm afraid. Do be careful! Also, note that some of the loss may be a loss of water that will quickly be replaced when you rehydrate. Sorry, not trying to...

Don't fret - you're still getting there and once you reach goal it will seem like it was only a short time in comparison to spending the rest of your life slim ;) And a loss is a loss - even if it's 0.2lbs it's still a move in the right direction!

Ooh I totally know what you mean about 'thin' clothes - I've got enough of them to dress half of London... but I still intend to do a lot more shopping when I get to goal ;) The nearer you get to goal - the more fun clothes shopping is! I've been a bit down about so many STS moments over the...

No gain this morning! Although my indulgence will probably have put me back in the STS club for a few days ;) Probably just as well though otherwise it'd be quite easy to get into a 'small cheat here and there' mindset. Had a shake this morning and planning on soup for lunch and dinner - it's...

Entirely forgot that I had agreed to go with my boyfriend to a pre-Christmas brunch some of his friends were throwing - didn't even have a chance to plan out an emergency plan. I'm actually surprised that he remembered, usually it's entirely my responsibility to organise us both ;) Anyway, made...

My progress from restarting through to Xmas

Had a 0.8 drop this morning - finally! For a few days the scales were showing 11 7.2 then shooting up to 11 7.8 - then yesterday they shot up to 11 8.2 initially before dropping to 11 7.8... I worried I was verging on a unexplained gain :( BUT 11 7.0 this morning! Thank goodness for a loss :)

    December Challenge "Im still here"

Count me in too - I think December will be more about damage limitation than large losses (although the latter would be much appreciated). I have several festive meals, a weekend trip to Lisbon and then obviously Christmas day itself. Then New Year's followed directly by my birthday.... I think...

    'Add a meal' idea?

I've heard it said that the first few bites of anything are the tastiest, after that we're eating to satisfy a need - whether it's physical hunger or emotional overeating ;) So your idea of flipping ratios is probably a very effective one Phonenix!
  220. L

Definately think that's a good idea! We'll all get through December by hook or by crook ;)

Probably just water retention - veggies are hardly naughty food ;) I'm STS as I've been for a day or two now, but I'm going to go for a loooong walk today and hopefully burn off a little bit extra!

    How are you all?!

Wow, I'd love to know what kind of things you ate that you were able to stay within 3lbs of your pre-Africa weight!

Don't worry all you STS-ers - this morning I am 11 7.8 lbs, things do get moving again! But don't kick me out just yet,I'm starting an extra new med today infamous for it's water retaining side effects ;)

I'm suprised - since most OTC suppositories are intended for relief of piles too! I don't think on the amount we're eating that most of us will 'achieve' that many bowel movements anyway, lactulose or not. However, I think your idea of spreading it out is a good idea in regards to minimising...

Cheated... oops (don't read if you're feeling hungry)

Don't tempt me ;) Yes, I was a little reassured when I looked up the amount of carbs in a slice of bread and compared it with a bar. True, it's not got the protein or nutrient factor - but as a one off it won't kill me. By the way, this is not an endorsement of replacing bars with toast lol!

Cheated... oops (don't read if you're feeling hungry)

I was up in the night with bloody vomiting and felt really knackered this morning even though I'd stopped being sick. What made you choose your specific VLCD, and what makes you stay?

I've been thinking the same about the tetras! Actually though, I must admit I bought a few of the Bariatrix tetras in chocolate (which aren't meal replacements unfortunately...but much lower carb) and keep one in my bag in case I get stuck somewhere and have already had my bar. Some of the MRP...

Haha! You never know! You'll have to let us know if they work - if they do I think we'll all be buying them ;)
  236. L

How are your breasts...holding up? ;)

That would tie in with my pattern of weight gain/loss actually, I put it on like a bodysuit - a thin layer all over at a time ;) All my measurement ratios have remained the same; for instance my waist is always 12 inches smaller than my bust and hips at any point. Unfortunately that also means...

How are your breasts...holding up? ;)

Curious as to how people are finding things re: breasts and weightloss. I keep hearing about how dieting means fat goes from the chest first - but so far so good in my case (touch wood). Things seem to be coming off pretty evenly all over and I haven't become the chestless wonder yet ;)...

When you get to the last stone - transitioning?

I can't eat wholegrain etc, only 'easily digestible' carbs - aka the ones worst on the glycemic index - oh the horror :( Although I'll lower my carb consumption somewhat, I can't imagine going particularly low carb for life - I think it will have to be a case of upping the exercise to maintain...

I was quite tempted by the smell of toast today too - luckily I'm unable to eat wholegrain foods and it was wholewheat toast so the choice was out of my hands ;) It's okay - just draw a line under it now and don't go for broke and eat the shreddies as well! When you get to the last stone - transitioning?

Just throwing this out there as it's been on my mind. I'm on Slim and Save (loving it) and intend to carry on until I hit 10 stone when I'll have one last stone to lose. I'll probably hit that weight sometime between January and February, and I'm considering transitioning onto one of the...
