    Secret to shaping up

RIGHT! So after months of jetting back and forth to this thread reading about the results, I have just ordered myself a 5kg kettlebell!! I can't afford the kettleworx set at the moment (maybe next month)...so have people just chosen random workouts to do 3x a week or is there anything in...

NEW YEAR NEW APPROACH! Angie WILL be thin!

Hello all, I joined minimins over the summer, posted a couple of times as I started calorie counting but then moved back to my Uni city (not a student anymore - but living like one with my postgrad friends!) and went completely off track. I've lost 10lbs since the summer, mostly from working...

    Hay Diet/Food Combining

Just wondering if anyone else has tried this? Basic concept is not eating proteins and carbs in the same meal. I'm only following it loosely (not really counting the carbs/proteins in fruit and veg) but otherwise I'm finding it really good - as a vegetarian my only proteins are eggs and...

    Newbie :)

Ahhh where are you in uni/from? I'm from West Wales but went to uni in Swansea....have graduated now but still living there (seems the kind of place where nobody leaves!) But i put on about 2 stone since the start of uni and wasn't happy with my weight even before so need to sort my life out...

    Secret to shaping up

Hi everyone! I commented once before on this thread but I've unfortunately neglected the diet since moving back to my old uni city (and apparently am trying to live the student lifestyle again!) but need to get back on track! I'm not sure whether to do KB or not - I'm not fit at all! And I...

    Newbie :)

Hiii :) I'm new too! Well, i joined over the summer but since coming back to uni I've neglected the diet! We are around the same weight by the looks of it with similar goals! What diet are you planning on following? I'm going to go back to calorie counting! Also, WOO WALES!

5 stone gone before and after pictures and my story :) you can do it too!

I joined minimins about a month ago and this originally really inspired me to lose the weight, unfortunately as I went to a couple of festivals in the past few weeks I went off track and have recently thought 'maybe I'll just always be overweight' - reading this post again has made me realise I...

    Finally taking the plunge :)

Ahh have been neglecting my diary! Went out on Saturday and had a very good night - albeit rather messy! I think I probably drank more calories than I ate that day. I had a minor issue with throwing up (haven't done that in years!) so is it wrong that I'm hoping my calorie intake went down a...

    Healthy Alternatives!!

It's surprising how much a big salad with your meal can fill you up- try using lentils in the salad for more filling meals! Also bulgar wheat is a good alternative - similar to couscous but a bit more stodgey, but not too many calories either!

    Secret to shaping up

How much did everyone pay for their first dvd set/where from? I've just graduated so needless to say money is tight! But from what I see this is really working for people so I would really like to try! How soon did people start seeing results? And what weights did everyone start with?

The only poem I've ever written!

Woah - this really touched me. Well done! I used to write all sorts when I was younger, maybe I should dig them out and see if there's any treasures like this!

    Healthy Alternatives!!

I have the same problem - I just had spaghetti bolognese (veggie) and the pasta made up for over half of the calorie content, despite having loads of ingredients in the sauce! But I guess just try and limit the amount you have so in this example have lots more bolognese than pasta. Couscous...

    Low cal vegetarian recipes?

I've recently started CCing and am going shopping tomorrow so want to plan some yummy veggie meals - no fish or anything. :) Anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking a five bean chilli - may even get some tesco light tortilla and make enchilladas without the extra cheese - they're one of...

    Kettleworx/kettlebells

I've been thinking of this too - reading the same thread haha! It is very inspiring - I'm a size 16 now, would only dream of being a size 6! (Although I am 5"11 so a size 6 would probably look pretty terrifying!) How have you found it? It looks so complicated! They've got 2.5kg, 5kg & 7kg bells...

The story of happyhealthy's expedition to maintain!

You're definitely an inspiration! You've done so well! And it's great to see that you're a student because it makes me feel like it can be accomplished whilst living a student lifestyle. Despite the fact I've now graduated I'm still living like a student and probably will be for the next few...

Yeah they are really good because they bulk up the meal and make you fuller :) putting them in salads is good too, either puy lentils with lemonjuice or the green lentils tossed in (with 1cal spray!) with red onion and garlic (and sundried tomatoes but i'm not sure how high they would be as they...

    C25K beginners - struggle with W1D1

I am considering the ridiculous idea of me doing this. Does it really only take 9 weeks? I am really unfit and feel like I could probably only run for 10 seconds! Haha, I might dig out my trainers and have a go tomorrow. Where do you download the podcast?

That's great! I only dream of being that size! Hopefully it will happen! Did you excercise too during your weight loss? And how many calories did you allow yourself? I'm thinking 1200 because that seems to be the common amount for CC!

Wow thanks - the joys of being tall...although if you saw my friends that had been cut out of that picture then I'd probably look like a size 20 in comparison!!
