    4.5st/63lb Lost - Under 200lb - Feeling GREAT!

You seem really motivated so I'm sure you'll be fine. It seems Christmas is a free for all food fest but the majority of the food that we over-indulge in is available to us for the other 51 weeks of the year (in moderation once we're at goal!) x

3 stone gone. Starting a re-feed before festivities

Thank you! I've just booked a hair appointment as my reward :) I know today and tomorrow will be tuna salad and probably chicken & veg coz that's all I have in that's suitable. Monday is shopping day so i'll sit down and plan so I can write a shopping list. I'll definitely be here. 3rd of Jan...

I am over the bloody moon! :D I started at 8th October at 18st 10.6lbs. As of this morning I am 15st 10.4lbs. I've achieved my Christmas goal :smiley1842:and today I re-feed for a week (following the Lipotrim plan) before the start of the Christmas festivities next weekend :woohoo:

    What's Your Off-Plan December Menu?

I'm starting a re-feed tomorrow (the Lipotrim plan) I wasn't going to but I think it'll be the most sensible way coz otherwise the carb loading and accompanying bloatedness and blood sugar spikes will make me a miserable beetch over Christmas lol x

    December Challenge "Im still here"

Ah I know it's "allowed" but I've avoided it for the past 8.5 weeks, so annoyed with myself that I feel the "need" to eat something. Will definitely be re-starting once the husband goes back to work at the beginning of January, I'm determined to be under 200lbs for Valentine's day! x

3.5lbs to go to achieve my Christmas goal of 3st- got til next weekend to do it so feeling quite confident :D
  14. F

    What's Your Off-Plan December Menu?

The only plan I have is shake for breakfast. I'm pretty sure mince pies/ chocolate/ nuts/ roast potatoes/ stuffing will negate that but whilst I drink it I'll feel virtuous ;)
  15. F

    December Challenge "Im still here"

I'm still here but being honest I'm finding I have to really exercise willpower now. I've never had to do that up until now, it's always been a simple choice and I wanted to lose weight more than I wanted to eat. That is still true but it's a real battle with my head at the min and I've found...

3 stone gone. Starting a re-feed before festivities

Umm Kinda. A few people have commented now so I suppose that helps. I have every intention of re-starting after a Christmas break but I have to keep focused for the next 2 weeks before I can even think about that x

Well i'm shocked, I surpassed my November target! I'm not weighing in for another 16 days now, will be hoping for another half stone off in that time. That will mean I've lost over 3 stone and will be a few lbs less than when I came off plan with Cambridge when I found out I was pregnant x

    December Challenge "Im still here"

I'm having 2 weeks off plan, my last December WI will be on the 17th. I'm planning to get back on plan on the 2nd January but won't be weighing myself between the 17th Dec and 7th January coz I'll probably be suicidal otherwise lol. As long as I'm 14st 10 by the 30th January I don't mind to much x

It's funny isn't it? Suze it's definitely my bum and hips too. My hips currently look disproportionately huge actually. My shape is so weird :/ Will WI for the challenge, I think I might be just shy but as long as it's -14 I'll be happy x

What's annoying me is that I'm less than a stone heavier than I was pre-pregnancy and I was a 16 then, but very definitely a 20 at the min. Seems having 2 babies in 12 months has really affected my body shape

  42. F

3 stone gone. Starting a re-feed before festivities

Ha you're right. If I really believed I could have the same results on a "conventional" diet I'd have eaten something by now. I know when I did Cambridge my usual losses were 3-4lbs but were anything from 2-7lbs a week. Fingers crossed for a decent result next week!
  43. F

3 stone gone. Starting a re-feed before festivities

As I expected, I've only lost 2lbs this week. It pisses me off a bit when people who are on SW or WW have the same losses and they can enjoy alcohol/ take aways/ chocolate etc. Never mind, it's coming off which is the important thing. I'm now in the 16's too :)
  44. F

3 stone gone. Starting a re-feed before festivities

Thank you both :) I was hopeful for a decent loss this week after TOTM last week but I don't "feel" like I've lost much. Ah well, it'll come off in good time if I keep doing what I'm doing.

    Meal Bars

Having more than 2 a week does affect my losses :( Everyone is different though and you have to find what works for you personally x
  56. F

How do you eat yours ??

    I have 1/2 shake around 8.30AM soup 12.30PM spag bol 5PM 1/2 shake 9PM
  57. F

    Advice

It really is personal preference. The soups are a bit powdery but I have the chicken one a fair bit. I like most of the bars, maple & almond is my favourite. The veg is optional. Many of us manage with just the 3 packs. If you do feel the need to eat something the veg is a good choice.
  58. F

3 stone gone. Starting a re-feed before festivities

Thank you. I know it can be done, and I will keep aiming for that. I weighed myself sneakily this morning and I've now lost 21lbs in 25 days so I'm very happy with that. Lets see what the next 46 days bring :)
  59. F

My progress from restarting through to Xmas

I'm the same Cherry Blossom but you do soon get used to it. You can buy water flavourings and use Bovril if you're really struggling but after a couple of weeks it just becomes second nature x

S&S diary - I will lose this weight!

This was on the Livestong website "If your daily carb target is below 20 g a day, you are best to avoid eating tomato soup or eat only very small amounts of it." As for the cheesecake, if your intention is to stay in ketosis then don't even look at it! :sigh:

I lost 3lbs at my WI last week which brings my total losses up to 19lbs in 3 weeks :D When I started this diet I wanted 50lbs off for Christmas. I hope that is still achievable. I'll need 4lbs losses every week from now til then so it's a fair bit of pressure. I need to make sure I'm having all...

    first week losses

This is the 2nd time I've done a VLCD and lost 11lbs in my first week both times. I think losses usually vary between 4-14lbs for women, depending on how much you have to lose and how much water you drink x
  63. F

My progress from restarting through to Xmas

Are you still drinking plenty? The bars used to make a difference to my losses on CD. I could have 2 a week without it affecting my losses so I saved those for after WI and a Saturday night so they were still "treats." 20lbs in 7 weeks is definitely do-able hun, just keep going! x

    Week one done!

Well done on your loss! In the CD forum there's a list of food you can have when doing SS+ (still a VLCD) might be worth having a peek in case you ever get caught without a pack (or even if you're having a hungry day) :)
  79. F

    Favourite flavours and any tips

Rate vanilla and choc shakes, spag bol and choc truffa bars. Hate cottage pie, banana shakes and banana bars. To make sure I'm drinking enough water I have 2 pintsm (about a litre) before my 1st shake, 2 pints before my second and 2 before my 3rd. Anything after that is a bonus :o)

Lol Kirsty I can't wait til I don't have to wear maternity togs anymore! The beauty of CD is you have a good excuse to buy new clothes pretty much constantly ;) I was shrinking a dress size a month (you have a lot less to lose than I did though so it won't be quite as quick for you) which annoyed my DH and probably the bank manager lol but I loved it!
  148. F

    Hello - andvice please

As long as you're consuming enough calorie to ovulate every month and stop dieting as soon as you find out you're expecting then you'll be fine. Lots of people in this section got their BFP's doing food replacement diets and they're about half the amount of calories compared to Slimfast ;)

Just got my BFP but have so many concerns

Congratulations Lucy and Sarah! I have to say in my experience it's down to individual doctors. Some fixate on your weight and others couldn't care less. Hi everyone

I found the CD that came with the book immensely annoying lol. To have a successful hypnobirth your partner needs to be 100% in tune with what you want as when you're in your relaxed state it's up to him to communicate with the maternity staff on your behalf. My DH was really cynical at first...

I'd double check that - when I was looking at them in the shop the back of the packets stated each serving of the tea was 1gram, and the tablets were 400mg so the tea is actually more than twice the strength of the capsules.

Your scan pic is lovely, funny how big he seems now, his head doesn't even fit on the pic. Just 16 weeks ago his whole body did, such an odd thought! Hope you and your lanky lad are doing well :)

I'm having the same problem hun, thought I'd got away with it a bit but it's only these last few weeks the lbs have started piling on :( I'm being more aware of what I eat but DH goes mad if he thinks I'm "dieting" (I wouldn't!) Food shopping is getting obscenely expensive and being on sick pay...

    My pregnancy diary! :)

I find that I have weeks with either no gain or .5lb gain then all of a sudden seem to gain loads. I never really thought about it being connected to a monthly cycle but thinking about it now it makes complete sense! Your weight gain seems to be more or less in line with what mine was too...

Congratulations! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months :) As for the cramps, the day before I got my BFP I bought all my usual sanitary products as I was convinced I was coming on, it was OH who chucked the test in the trolley lol. At booking mine was 36, I even had to tell her I was high risk and would be shared care, she was going to put me down for MW care only. The only difference is I get a glucose tolerance test and see the consultant obstetrician at 36 weeks (if I weighed 4lbs less I wouldn't need to )

LMAO Anne. I kinda know what you mean, I remember when my friend was 22 weeks and I was 9, it felt like I'd never get there. I'm guessing patience isn't your strong point either? :D Do you have little milestones to aim for? I'm guessing your next one is your scan? I have V-day on Monday, then...

    My pregnancy diary! :)

There's absolutely no shame in having exactly what you want occasionally, it's not like you're eating like that every day! It's not bad that you're not strictly syn counting either, you're "being sensible" with your diet which is great :) Fab news on hearing bubs heartbeat, it's magic isn't it...

Glad you's are both OK. I like it better when wimble is down low too. Eek 2/3 of the way there, how exciting for you, and all your scans will make the next few weeks go so quickly, your little boy will be here before you know it :) Abz your new MW sounds like a right 'un, if she behaves the same way next time politely but firmly tell he you are aware of the risks...

Yeah you should definitely be resting, that's why you've been signed off. You're not being lazy, you're looking after yourself! Glad that if it's needed your OH can take time off, it's good for you to know the option is there if it becomes unbearable. My eyes are watering at the thought of...

I can have up to 180mg in 24 hours up to 30 weeks but I can see their point about wanting to monitor you given the problems your son had. If it gets too bad is there childcare you can arrange so you can go in for the morphine? Good news that they are going to consider induction though :)
