I hesitate to call tangoing a side effect of Xen. It's not IMO.. it's the function of them, just as the function of paracetamol is to get rid of pain.

Hectic Week and a question for you all..

Yes I would. My bungalow was built in about 1925 or so, and is on an estate designed for old people (lots of two bedroomed bungalows peppered with a few three beds), so I'm pretty sure at some point in it's time someone will have died or gone batty here. The whole estate is still predominately...

    Planning damage limitation in advance!

chicken kebab without the garlic mayo! I've had this a number of times and never had a visit from Mr T. The mayo is the worst bit - salsa is fine, the salad obvs is, and it tends to be chicken breast done on a griddle.
  131. joclairey

    Kick up the bum please

Could a lot of it not be water retention due to the op? I know its slightly different but I had a long difficult birth with my little lady resulting in a *lot* of blood loss and an operation, and within 24 hours I had put a stone on in water. Once I was on the mend the water retention went though x

Do you think its possible to lose a stone in 3 weeks???? I need your help...

I would see a tailor. One of my bridesmaids was still breastfeeding a fortnight before my wedding, she hadn't thought she would be. Her boobs were still huge off the milk and she had a size eight dress.. we rushed to a tailor with her dress and she did a fabulous job of using the sash from...
  174. joclairey

    Substitute for doritos needed please!!

Sour cream and chive dip can be subbed with some 0% greek, chives and a bit of seasoning. I often have 0% greek with chilli and wedges and I honestly can't tell the difference. I served it to my hubby as an experiment, and he thought it was really sour cream x Instead of the doritos, why not...

    Not enough calories?

1200 is probably too low pet.. you might be at risk of your body trying to store fat x Believe me, I had a condition called hyperemesis when I was pregnant as was unable to hold food down properly from about 5 weeks till around 20 weeks. 186. joclairey

You know when youve been tango'd

Lol it was the vodka that made me steal the pizza. I have drank the old vodka plenty of times since :)
  187. joclairey

    Damn you school holidays...

I refer you to my sig :) 1lb loss is great, a healthy diet should see you loosing 1-2lbs a week :)
  188. joclairey

    Alcohol?

I still drink! I don't find alcohol makes any difference to me. I only reign it in now as I have a small person to get up for and I'm trying to keep to my slimming world syns. There is no fat in alcohol of diet coke so I fail to see how it would make any difference, other than the usual fact...
  189. joclairey

You know when youve been tango'd

it's only happened to me once, and that was after stealing some pizza of hubbies after a few too many vodka and diet cokes :)
  190. joclairey

    does anyone on here ...?

Butters - just an aside for you. I suffered with PCOS right up until i was pregnant.. I found loosing weight very difficult indeed, and was on metformin for getting on for 10 years. I actually didn't find it hard to conceive (the hubby is convinced he must have super sperm )...
  191. joclairey

    Wish me luck....

I tend to find that cheese is ok, providing it is mixed with plenty of zero fat stuff so the overall food is low fat if you get my drift? I rarely get tangoed and have had LF cheese just about every day since starting the xen :)
  192. joclairey

    anyone on dukan with xen??

I believe Dukan wouldn't work too well with SW from everything I have read about it. A lot of meat and fish has too much fat in it x You'd be better off with Slimming World or Weightwatchers x
  193. joclairey

  206. joclairey

  216. joclairey

    Dinner disasters.

I'd rather adapt existing recipes! Half my pleasure in SW is being creative with the free foods and HEXs to come up with amazing food.
  217. joclairey

    Cheesy melt burgers

My burgers come in at less than a HEX! Around about 60grams per burger, but I like them quite thin :) Not that I would have them on a green day though, I have two, each in a HEB bun ;) Though It is food for thought.. I could have one in a HEB bun and have SW chips and tinned spaghetti with it!

    MEATBALLS!!! HELP!!!

I normally make tomato and balsamic. Brown the meatballs, add garlic, peppers (if you fancy them) and onions to pan and cook for a few minutes. Add tub of passata or tin of chopped toms, some salt and pepper and a very generous slug of balsamic (I am never shy when it comes to balsamic) and...

    Syn Free Onion Chutney/Marmalade

Gave it a go today. Used a 1/3 quantities with a wee bit less onion and some finely chopped carrot to make it a bit more 'branston'ish and a slug of lemon juice. Still warm but tastes quite moreish. Waiting for it to be cold as I have a HEXA cheese with it's name on it!!

  222. joclairey
