    Oh, leave the Mars Bar on the shop shelf love! Have you checked their sugar content and sugar is addictive. I find that if I get the taste of sugar in my mouth I just want more. It's hard I know but it does get easier. Good luck to one addict to another.. :)

    The only way I cope is by leaving them in the shop/store Grapes are little bags of sugar. As you can see I'm an addict too - and not just to chocolate, it's just the worst. So I just don't have anything obviously containing sugar in my house. You are doing wonderfully well, 2½st wow!!

    I had my first day yesterday, I had 519calories - 19 too many. I found that only having water/coffee/tea all day then having a meal in the evening did it for me.     I weighed myself again on Sunday 21st and I'd lost 2lbs, that's 3½lbs in two weeks. Nothing dramatic but I'd be content with that sort of weight loss. I think about one third of my days food contains fat, they are definitely curbing my appetite.

    Thank you everyone, it is the only Atkins book I have read. I've sort of dipped in others but I think the '72 is - the purist. It's both interesting & easily understood. The later books are much more commercial. However, that's just my opinion... :)
