    Newbie :)

Sorry I haven't been on here - I managed to kill my android tablet and don't use my laptop often! The WW app was an unofficial one - but was very good. You need to know the points values of food, as it doesn't have a database of foods, but I still found it useful for tracking. I think it was...

    Free soup

My favourite is mediterranean veg - onion, garlic, oregano, red pepper, courgette & carrot. Finely chop the lot, pop it in a pan with a tin of tomatoes & some chicken stock, bubble away then season to taste & puree! My 3 year old loves that on pasta! What I did the other day was just to grab...

Yes, I'm doing discover. I liked it the first time round & it worked for me.Enjoying it so far, though slight blip this week with my son's birthday party and then having an inflammed tendon in my thumb, so DH is doing the cooking as my hand is strapped up! :/

    Free foods

I always go for the zero point soup, though vary the ingredients. Sometimes tomato & pepper based, but recently I've been grabbing a pack of chinese veg from the supermarket and just adding chicken stock, some garlic, ginger & soy sauce. Im back!

I lost with vintage WW in 2010 after my LO was born (lost 1.5 stone, gave myself a big pat on the back and promptly went back to my old habits), was visiting family in 2011 so did a Dukan Crash diet (lost/regained 12lbs) and then dieted on/off last year. My new year resolution was to have a...

Hello! My little one has just turned 3! I'm not really sure I can still call it baby weight anymore! I've actually arranged with nursery to keep him in for an extra 2 hours per day (pick him up now at 3:30) so that I can go to the gym after work - no excuses now! x

    New to ww!

There's a sticky at the top that explains how many points you're allowed per day. The only thing missing is want to lose weight (0 points) / want to maintain weight (6 points). According to my WW handbook... The minimum points that you can have in a day is 18. You can carry up to 4 points a...

    Cruise PP How much meat?

I eat a whole chicken breast pre and post training as I tend to be ravenous after exercise too. If you're hungry then eat, especially if it's pure protein as the worst thing you can do on this diet is not eat enough.
  39. cheryl7

    Very silly :(

If only I'd managed to keep the ibuprofen down :( I've been sipping ginger beer all day, which has slowly been helping and the headache is only just starting to fade (at nearly 6pm!). I've got some plain chicken lined up for dinner.... though to be honest my body is now screaming for carbs...
  40. cheryl7

    tonic water?

Well I've been sipping diet ginger beer all day (not that I've kept much down) and I have to say that on any other day it would be really nice. I also had the diet cream soda on Friday night - I really didn't think it would be my thing but actually surprised myself!
  41. cheryl7

    tonic water?

Slimline tonic per 150ml is 3 cal / 0 sugars. So even that would be pushing what's allowed. If it was a one off I spose you may be able to risk it and then assess how it's affected your weight loss?
  42. cheryl7

    Very silly :(

I ummed & aaahed over admitting just how silly I was, but think that it's worth it so that everyone can learn from my mistake... Me and DH had a cosy night in last night & he poured me a glass of wine ('17 year's together' anniversary). I thought what harm can one do as it was already poured...

Attack Is it normal to feel *this* crap?

It's hard to say - it could be the attack stage - I got v. bad diarrhoea the first time round, so I guess everyone's different. Yes they are - just make sure that you remove the skin before cooking :) The only chicken that isn't allowed is chicken wings. Though as you probably know, duck isn't allowed as it's too fatty :(

The thing you've got to remember Shellbell is that whatever rhythm you decide on, you'll be doing approximately the same amount of pp/pv days in a month (as Dr D explains in the book), so if necessary you can decide on your own unique rhythm each week around what suits you and your circumstances...

I started dry frying the smoked salmon and then adding the spinach to the pan... it's so yummy & guess it would work with a bit of quark and a squeeze of lemon too :) Now I've made myself hungry!!!

Anyone else get tired/fatigued really quickly?

I take a vitamin supplement each day and will continue to do so while I'm cruising. My colleague was feeling quite fatigued lately and started taking vitamin B complex.

    Muscles

I do resistance training as part of my daily gym routine. When I began, I started light and did 3x12 reps with about a minute rest between. Don't be scared of doing free weights for your arms and lunges/squats too as they can be more effective than the machines. I quickly noticed a difference...

    Dukan fry ups

This is my weekend pv treat too, except I add some wilted spinach to mine as well and have smoked salmon instead of turkey... roll on Saturday! :)

    Well done! That's fabulous :)

    From Fat to Fab

I've morphed into a gym bunny! I so look forward to my daily exercise 'fix'! Yesterday was probably helped by the fact that the TV at the gym was showing all Muse videos... I didn't want to stop! I actually look forward to weighing myself each morning just to see how I'm doing, so jumped on...

    Cruise PV sugar free jelly

I get the diet lemonade that has 2cals per serving - as it's only 100ml and not every night I've found it hasn't stalled my weight loss and is a really nice treat :)
  224. cheryl7

    Should I start again?

Personally I would get straight back into pp/pv, starting with a pp day. I think the fact that you recognised that you went off track and want to get back on the diet is a good thing, and more importantly is that you learn from what went wrong this time - I think being organised in advance is...

    Cruise PV sugar free jelly

Yay :) I have it most evenings (the weight watchers one). One thing I sometimes do is make up the final 100ml with sugar free lemonade and have fizzy jelly!

    Dukan Birthday cake or alternative?

If you've got guests coming then I'd say go for two... one that isn't Dukan friendly (for DH and guests) and an alternative Pavlova that is (for you and unsuspecting/healthy guests)?? Or there was a seriously delish sounding cheesecake in one of today's threads. Or if it's just you and DH, go...

    Couch to 5K

I just wanted to share this with everyone as I'm not sure if y'all are aware of the couch to 5k programme (otherwise known as C25K), but I did this a while back. As a complete non-runner it got me off my rather cushioned behind and onto the road/treadmill. :hide: You can download the mp3...

    Grrrrrrr!!!

How frustrating :( Maybe you could thread it onto kebabs and make a marinade out of fat free natural yoghurt and spices, then grill it? If you have any other meat or prawns, you could make mixed kebabs. Or, try some onions, garlic, paprika, pinch of cayenne and fat free yoghurt and make a...

Bad day but there is an up side!

I'm an all or nothing person when it comes to dieting and end up a bit OCD when I'm on a diet. I like the freedom within the confines of the DD and think that if I had the odd forbidden treat, I'd fall off the diet wagon quicker than you could say 'whoa there'... I was never a fruit person...

    Importance of positive approach

I think being in the right frame of mind is soooo important when starting a diet and confidence that it'll work is half the psychological battle won straight away. I think going into a diet thinking 'this won't work' is always doomed to failure and like you I went into this diet confident that...

    Cholesterol levels and Dukan

That's fabulous :D My cholesterol when tested in March was 7.7  and I'm hoping that this diet will help to bring it down, though I'm not holding out much hope since my levels are mostly down to my genes :(... but you never know!

    From Fat to Fab

Well the dolmades (or dolmas as they're officially called if wrapped in cabbage leaves) were a resounding success... serious yum factor going on! Even baba had some of the filling with some rice, though I think the floor ate more than he managed to get in his mouth bless him! Went to the gym...

    Dukan Puddings/Desserts

I've been using weight watchers sugar free jelly as a quick fix in the evenings if I need it. I like the idea of a merigue though this weekend with some flavoured quark... yum! :)

    Do you weigh yourself everyday?

Yes, I weigh myself every morning without fail, though Tuesday is my official weigh in. I'm trying to get myself over my scale phobia!
  239. cheryl7

Has anyone tried any other pattern other than the 1pp/1pv?

I ended up with the opposite while on attack, so will be interesting to see how it affects me this time.... @Maintainer... I couldn't think of anything worse than 7xpp on my return  I'll be going straight back to 1pp/1pv and hopefully won't have gained any weight!!

    Official weekly weigh in.

Has anyone tried any other pattern other than the 1pp/1pv?

Next week I'm going to do 7PP/7PV - 7pp while I'm at home and then 7pv while I'm in the UK visiting family. I can't think of any other way of staying on track and really don't want all my hard work to go down the drain...

    From Fat to Fab

First day back at work today after a few weeks holiday... though let me clarify on that - my baba had an operation a few weeks ago and only got the all clear to go back to nursery today, so my 'holiday' wasn't really a holiday as such. I think me and baba both welcomed the break from each other...

No-one know's I'm even dieting, let alone on dukan, except of course DH, and his comment last night was 'blimmin heck you can see that your gut's shrunk'... whoever said romance was dead eh!!
  246. cheryl7

    supplements

I take a multivitamin as well. As for the evening primrose oil - it all depends on why you take it. If medically you need it, then I would definitely keep up with it as it can also help lower cholestrol & blood pressure as well as aiding weight loss. If you don't need it medically then you...

@Redbooties... I had bolognese this week on a PV day and shredded some cabbage to have instead of the spaghetti - it was really yummy :) Loving the sound of a pepper stew - I think I might have to do something similar tomorrow!!!

    From Fat to Fab

@Maintainer... I ended up doing just 3 days of attack... I had planned 5-7, but was at a BBQ on the Sat night and succumbed to some salad, so did a PP day on Sunday and then 'officially' started cruise on Monday. Moved to Gibraltar 6 years ago with DH's job, it's fab living in the med, and all...

    Finally seeing the results!

Put my jeans on this morning and had to put my belt up by a notch - that's 2 inches! :D Although I've seen results on the scales, it's always nice to see the 'real' results, and such a motivation boost :)
