Help - On Holiday For A Month

Enjoy your holiday - as others have said take oatbran with you or buy when away and keep as low carb as possible. Spirits with a diet mixer are the lowest carb drinks, followed by wine, then beer - if you stick to low carb you need less alcohol to get a nice fuzzy feeling anyway ;-)....

Anyone do low carb as well as calorie counting?

I am on Dukan - people call it a French version of atkins but really it's more low-fat, low-carb, high protein - I add everything I eat into my fitness pal so that way keep a check on my calorie intake - have found I average 1100-1300 cals a day - and am full - so pretty low when before trying...

    Flaxseed

Thanks for that - on a web string I found someone who said Dr Dukan allows 1 teaspoon a day - prob as a tolerated item - as majority of fat is from omega sources. Not sure if this info can be verified though?

    Teddy67s Food Diary

So as per other thread have just noticed been eating wheat bran for last three days not oat bran - hopefully when I am stock up again on oat bran the weight will start to come off again!

    Flaxseed

Probably a no - but I have a packet of this in my cupboard going to waste? Can it be used (in small doses) in baking at all - was thinking the muffin recipe. Instead of waiting for reply I have just used around 10g in my muffin mix - but then again as per earlier thread they are made with...

    Alessandra's diary

Will you be doing a 4 PP / 3 PV every week? I just thought that we need to aim for a 50/50 split overall - so would have thought a fortnightly rotation of 4 PP / 3 PV with a 3 PP / 4 PV would even things out? Hopefully someone with more experience than me will offer guidance?

    Swimming!

My hair thoroughly recovered within a week - if you go regularly I would definitely recommend it - and if you can put up with wearing a swimming cap as well - even better. I felt ridiculous wearing one to begin with - but soon realised most of the regular swimmers wear them.

    Cupcake

At first glance I thought your yoghurt might be high in sugar - but on checking it sounds on par with Total 0% - which I know is Ok - as this per 100g is 4g sugar - think your 6g was for a 150g serving? Am sure others more experienced will offer a more definitive answer for you. Well done on...

IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, try try try again and again (and again...)

Hopefully you don't mind me reading your thread - in a way it's comforting to hear that people still do struggle with old eating habits rearing - as this has always been the bit that I thought I would have most trouble with - afterall I didn't get myself to the weight I am through moderation...

    banana dukan flavouring

Congratulations - seems persistence paid off in the end - but what a struggle!
  229. Teddy67

why is the dukan flavouring special?

Would the da Vinci sugar free syrups be a suitable substitute for the flavourings? I have used these in the past - but only for adding to coffee - but on seeing a short video of someone making Dukan muffins online they used a da Vinci gingerbread syrup - so wondering the difference - is it that...

    Swimming!

It's been really good reading this thread - I was recommended to go swimming as I have a bad back - no breaststroke though! I also can't bare having my face in the water - lol - so that left me with backstroke! To avoid getting water in my ears which I also had I wear a swimming hat. My...

Question bout weight and going the toilet....

    Teddy67s Food Diary

Have noted that my fluid intake these past few days is back to being almost non-existent - message to myself here to try harder - off to get myself a drink right now in fact - as realised I am thirsty!..
  239. Teddy67

why is the dukan flavouring special?

Thats good to know as the dukan ones are very expensive when on a tight budget - they probably last ages its just the initial outlay that mainly puts me off I think

    Cupcake

Hi there, I am no expert but where is your oatbran in the menu? You need to be having 1.5 tablespoons (15g = 1 tablespoon) during Attack. You can stir it into your yoghurt if you haven't been?
