Are we allowed chewing gum or mints?

Thank you! The pains with the gallbladder were terrible so had no choice but to have it removed... I've never had a baby but I would guess it was as painful (so the consultant told me!) I hope it works too... At least I don't have another gallbladder to remove! X

That's ok! It all helps to keep us on track!x

Are we allowed chewing gum or mints?

It's nicer than drinking tea black and has more flavour than green tea. Hope you like it!
  4. kiwi976

Are we allowed chewing gum or mints?

Yes... It really is! I have green tea with peppermint. Have you tried white tea? It's not as strong and I cope with it better than tea with no milk.

Are we allowed chewing gum or mints?

I don't think they tell you not to do it because of losses but more because your stomach produces the acid to break down food and you're not eating food that warrants the acid. If it doesn't affect you I wouldn't worry about it. I would rather not as I had to have my gallbladder removed after...

Are we allowed chewing gum or mints?

Unfortunately not... Chewing sends signals to your brain to make your stomach produce the acid to break down food. Mints... Nope as they have sugar in them. I found of I drink enough water my breath is better. You can brush your teeth as much as you want though : /

Also...hot meals are generally not good. I had the shepherds pie though and I liked that one. When I did Cambridge I only had chicken and mushroom soup and then chocolate mint/chocolate shakes so it takes dedication. I don't want to promise how much you'll lose but it will be worth it in the end.

Hi Laura... I started about a week ago now and believe me, get through day 4 and you'll be fine because you'll definitely be in ketosis so you won't feel hungry. I will be honest though, the cravings will take a couple of weeks to go. Apparently you have to do something about 30 times for it to...

Exante Newbie - Top Tips! + Other Men?

I didn't really like the spag Bol. I did have it with spinach though too. Try the shepherds pie... I really like that. Spinach will be fine though... A good handful won't affect anything at all.

Hi Ben! Thanks! It's good to keep active but I definitely wouldn't cope with what I normally do at the gym. In fact when I was trying to up my level before, I stopped losing weight because it must have been just too much. I do an hour on the bike everyday and some kettlebell work but that's...

I haven't had a soup yet and also don't have any bought/stocked up. I used to use more than 200ml for Cambridge though and these seem to have more powder in them. Are you saying I'm fussy? ; )

Exante Newbie - Top Tips! + Other Men?

Glad you like them! They are ok buy the ones on Cambridge were nicer but this is half the price and I don't have to go and see anyone either. Maybe you cook it for longer or do you use more than 200ml for soup?

Just add the same amount of water and bring to boil and let simmer for about 7 mins or until its has thickened up a little. I added dried herbs (lots of) to give more flavour too. It was quite nice though.

Also, re portion size, I couldn't see anything on exante about plans for men. Exante Newbie - Top Tips! + Other Men?

Hi Ben, The shakes might make you come out of ketosis. I was going to do a bit more research about my protein shakes.
