    Maddie's Weigh-ins

Figured it made sense to do as some others do and put all these in one thread :) Week 5 - lost 3lb for a total of 18lb :D I've been finding the going easier the last few weeks and easing up on what I put in the '200 cal meals' on SS+ - There's only so much white fish I can stand so salmon...

    4th Weigh-in

Hi guys :) Been mega busy, and my counsellor has moved my WI day to Monday of all days for the moment, so I had it today and lost 4lb for a total of 1st 1lb so far :D  Nic

Why are the crunch bars called crunch bars?

Lol maybe there's something wrong with mine cos it was rather soft as well :/

Why are the crunch bars called crunch bars?

The mint one I'm sort of eating tastes like the porridge wrapped in chocolate and mated in a very wrong way with an after eight mint :/

    Last Person To Post Wins

This seems like a game of persistence :) I win!

    Any knitters out there?

I've been knitting for about 6 years now. Not been doing much for the last few weeks as have a lot on but am currently doing a new slouchy hat for winter as my second ever fair isle project :) Ravelry is a great site for finding patterns etc and it's free :D

What is your fave CD pack?

I love the choc tetras mixed with coffee and hot water :) I'm just starting to try the bars this week. So far have had the toffee one which was OK but had a bit of a weird taste under the toffee/choc...anyone else think that? The porridge and strawberry tetras were awful :sign0137: I...

    2nd weigh in :)

My reasons weren't ethical, though it's a nice side effect, it was more to do with finding an excuse to not eat all the fatty food my dad cooks that I was really sick of and that he would think valid. He still thinks I'm weird but I can't even think about how much I would have put on if I'd...

    Hiya from Wolverhampton :)

Lesley, yes I think you're odd too! :) I really found it awful :o I am enjoying it actually, it's nice not to have to think about food except for once a day, and good to have fairly strict boundaries as to what I can eat.

    Hiya from Wolverhampton :)

Hiya :) I feel much more energetic now than I did but am still getting tired easily :/ I can cope with that though. I had my second WI last night and lost another 4lb :) I added a spoon of coffee with a bit of hot water before adding the choc tetra and topping with hot water too and it made a...

    2nd weigh in :)

Don't stress about it! I was stuffed up all week and thought I hadn't lost an ounce...first words to counsellor were 'not a good week' but then I got on her scales and 4lb gone :) Try not to use your scales if it puts you off!

    2nd weigh in :)

Yep, I eat veg too obv. but no meat. I was fully veggie for 2 years but then I realised it was only fish I missed and I was properly craving it so relented and haven't looked back since :) Ew, I admit to hating cottage cheese. Blech. I have an implant in so don't get periods :) (or the...

    I really wasn't expecting...

Ha! If only! I'd be well away if that was the case...stuff the diet...pass the champagne!

    I really wasn't expecting...

the bars to be this heavy! I just about fell over when I picked one up

    2nd weigh in :)

It's funny because I really liked the soups in week 1 and drank them twice a day no problem. Something seemed to switch this week though and I can't look at them! I get a really big mug and put a good heap spoon of coffee in it and mix with a bit of hot water, then put the choc velvet in it...

    I've cheated!! HEEEELLLPPP!!!!!!

CuppaT talks a lot of sense - guilt is the WORST. I know it's ruined every diet attempt I've done in the last year! Oh I'll just have one...then a bit later, well I've already cheated/wasted today so I might as well have a cake too, and then you end up feeling fat and thoroughly bad. I think...

Pins & needles in my hands

I don't know about tingling (except I get this lots in my sleep when I wake up with a dead arm due to lying on it), but my leg muscles seem to get tired really easily. Climbing stairs is a killer! Much more so than it used to be before I started the diet and I am on SS+.

    FIRST WEIGH IN! WOHOOO!

That's excellent both of you :) really well done!

    2nd weigh in :)

And I lost another 4lb, making 10lb in 2 weeks :D I got really sick of the soups and since the ready made shakes make up to a nice hot drink I've decided to have them for breakfast and lunch this week to try that out, and I'm also finally allowed bars so those will be for the evening...

    Argh!!!

I struggle with water too. I bought something called a Water Bobble from House of Fraser the other week and that really helped. It was £10, which sounds a lot but cheaper than always buying bottled water....It's a plastic bottle with a carbon filter built into the cap that looks like a rod...

From LL to SW to CD - In One Week !!!

I agree with FeeneyFooFoo! It was awful. I managed to eat one pack with a lot of sips of water; thankfully my counsellor was able to post me some extra soup packs, and took the unused porridge back for a refund. I found it had more a Reddy Brek consistency than porridge, and the taste...

    Hiya from Wolverhampton :)

Hey! I'm new to MiniMins and new to the Cambridge Diet, but definitely not new to trying to lose weight :/ I started Cambridge last Sunday and had a weigh-in on Friday where I'd lost 6lb :) I'm still waiting for the energy surge a lot of people report as I still feel lethargic and tired...

    Shakes at work?

Just thought I'd chip in... I thought the choc tetras tasted weird as well so I get a big mug, empty the tetra in and then top off with hot water. The tetra is about half the mug. It reduces the over-artificially sweetened taste a lot and it's really just like drinking a hot chocolate...
