Oh Well done you, hope I won't be too many weeks behind you. Working hard, but I am sure all this exercise is slowing it down, just a couple of pounds a week is slow going when I have so far to get to. I will stay motivated, I will stay motivated, I will stay motivated....if I say it enough it...

    From 17's to 16's

I was hoping my food shop bill would drop, but SW isn't the cheapest diet. All the fruit and veg soon adds up. I am sure it will be worth it. I have even managed to get through the bank holiday weekend without going off the rails. I have even done the unthinkable and walked into a gym today and...

    From 17's to 16's

Hi, from 18.2 to 17.10 1/2 at my weigh in on Thursday night. I started SW in Jan weighing 18.13 ran out of steam in February at 18.2 then rejoined last week. Felt really please to get on the scales after several weeks and still be at 18.2 which meant I had maintained the loss. This gave me a...

About to start slimming world for the second time

Well done on taking the step to go back to class. It's only numbers' don't dwell on where you used to be and just concentrate on the now. You have taken the control back, and getting back to the gym is amazing too. I have decided to do a diary this time too - paper one as I need to be able to...

Nerves before my first weigh in

Is it your first time on SW? I have done it many time before but not with Extra Easy. I think some of my anxiety comes from the fact that I am mixing meat and potatoes/rice/pasta etc. it does feel that I am eating too much. Have you had to make a lot of changes?

Nerves before my first weigh in

Thanks Janey, that is exactly what I am trying to keep in my head. I want to prove I had only been doing it a couple of days and that wasn't a real reflection of a week trying. How are you doing with it?

Nerves before my first weigh in

Well, it's taken me longer to reply than I intended. I went along on Thursday and had lost 2lb. When I got off the scales I did feel gutted, but I decided to stay to the full class and I am glad I did. They brought me round and talked me through my worries and gave me encouragement to carry on...

Nerves before my first weigh in

Well, I bit the bullet last Thursday and went to the local SW meeting. I am a repeat offender, but haven't been with a club for several years. I got weighed on the Thursday, but had no intention of starting the diet until day one back at work - Monday 6th. Fri - Sunday was taken with...

Don't lose heart, 1lb off is still the right direction, it could be that you show a really good loss next week, I have a friend who only loses every other week! If you are following the plan accurately, it will come off. I do know how difficult it can be to stay motivated, but keep going!!

monday morning at home weigh in

OK, 1st week weigh in, and woo hoo I have lost an amazing 10.5lbs!!! this is the first time I can honestly say I have followed a diet 100% and not cheated at all, and just look at the result. I am thrilled, I know the first week is always a good one, but it has motivated me to carry on this...

    18's into 17's

Yep, that would be great, see you on the lighter side. Sounds silly, but yesterday was my first day on the diet and miraculously I didn't cheat at all, I normally blow them by tea time, it was all down to planning, I had ryvita ready after work when I am weak before our late dinner. I also...

Deep breath and here I go!

Hi, well done on your loss! It is great if it has given you a little push and got the motivation train going again. I lost 3 this week, so happy with that. I have been weighing on a Monday, but to be honest, I think it was probably a bad idea as I do really well during the week, then spend all...

    Monday weigh in

Lost 3lbs! Am pleased with this, but I think I probably do the weight loss Mon-Fri and then spent the weekend trying to maintain it. My personal target was 2lbs a week so ahead so far. But I know it is a long 'journey' so can only do it week by week.

Wow - fab doner kebab recipe, tastes like the real thing!!!

Well hubby loved it!!!! Has decided he wants this rather than the shop bought one in the future! Just need to find a way of slicing it thinner. It didn't take as long to cook as the recipe said, I only gave it around 50 mins until the juices ran clear. That kept it lovely and moist. Nothing...

Thanks Helen, I can tell you are really motivated, so keep on the wave! I too feel fine about things, well into my 2nd week and not losing momentum. Warming winter chicken cassarole

This will be going on my menu for next week. I love Chicken Casseroles, but for some reason never make them and always end up with Beef. I love the idea of the pearl barley, I always add it to my soups. Thanks for suggestion!

Wow next august is a big target, I worked out if I can lose 2lbs a week and give myself a sticking period over Christmas, I could set a target of 12 months. I was always told to under promise and over deliver!! I have always been big too, and it has never been a huge problem beyond image...

    Monday weigh in

Thanks for the welcome Miss Slinky, I guess we both have a long 'journey' ahead of us as they say in reality TV land. Perhaps we can be travelling companions. I have been at this weight loss 'lark' for most of my life, but drop in and out of motivation. I want to prove to myself I have some...

    Monday weigh in

Hi all, I am new to the forum, and am just going into my 2nd week of SW - though doing this on my own not with a class at the moment. My first week, I lost 5lbs, so I am pleased with that. I want to lose just over 6 stone, so this is gonna be a long "journey" for me, but 1 week at a time eh!
  35. yorkyrose

    Hi all

Well done to you both. I am sure doing it together will help. My hubby has an allergy to anything that he sees as diet food....easy for him to judge when he has never had a weight issue. He wants to support me, but not give up anything unhealthy as he doesn't think he needs to. I am now...

Oh I have quite a long journey to say the least, I have just over 6 stone to lose, but to be honest I haven't ever weighed that so it is only a dream!
