Anyone out there on Diet Chef?

Hi RonnieB, is the first time you've done Diet Chef? I have done it a couple of times before with great results but due to my own fault I put the weight back on. This time I am trying to make 'sensible' choices when I'm travelling on business or am out to lunch etc. It doesn't mean I won't...

    Starting again, buddies please.

Thanks Mini. You're right that it suits me - makes it easier to stick to! Funny how I feel like there's a switch in my head that has to 'turn on' so Im in the right frame of mind to eat healthily and exercise regularly. I don't know why sometimes I find it quite easy and sometimes I just can't...

    Starting again, buddies please.

I've lost 6.5lb since 7 June which I'm pleased with as I've had my birthday since then (stayed with family and out to dinner) and have had several overseas business trips with dinners out. I have fitted in quite a few 5k runs but this time I've also made healthier choices when available (like...

    Starting again, buddies please.

Hi Claire, I've had a lot of success with Diet Chef as it suits my lifestyle. I don't want to have to count calories and when I get home from work I want something quick rather than have to cook. Diet Chef meals are generally quite tasty (I have found a few I don't like of course but most are...

    Starting again, buddies please.

So I am also starting Diet Chef again. Last time I lost 2.5 stone by following it and also exercising regularly (I do the latter anyway and have done for years). I am pretty disappointed in myself that I have put the weight back on - I can't really work out how I let it happen! I am...

    Diet Chef starting today

Hi there, I started Diet Chef almost exactly this time last year and lost 2.5 stone which was terrific. Then I don't know what happened! I took my eye off the ball and the weight crept back ... aarrghhh! I haven't put it all back on and I'm starting at almost a stone lighter than I was last...

Piginawig, you're right to be careful now about the packets in the microwave - I've had similar so am very careful now and prefer to cut off the top with scissors. Have also had a couple fall over in the microwave which created a bit of a mess! That was when I hadn't cut the top off and the...

Hi there - I did Diet Chef from mid-Jan to mid-June and lost 2.5 stone. I've altered my eating habits (I think that's the whole point!) but I have let chocolate creep back in which is probably why I am not losing at the moment (but I weigh myself every week now and at least I'm not gaining!)...

Hi there, actually I never count calories as such so don't know how many I'm taking in. I just know that above the Diet Chef food, I just add milk, a bread roll with my soup (no butter of course!), rice, veg and fruit. I also exercise about 2 times a week on average so that helps. I think you...

Hi both, I haven't posted for a while - life's been a bit hectic! I've lost 2.5 stone on Diet Chef so far (since mid Jan) but for the last month I've been static - I have been travelling several times abroad on business so that's always harder and had several family birthdays to contend with...

    Does it work?

Hi Katie, I have lost 2.5 stone so far on Diet Chef - about 2-2.5 lb a week which is a sensible steady weight loss. I think it's a good value plan if you stick to it as I don't buy on impulse like before. Good luck! I certainly feel much better having lost the weight.

2 Stone to lose on Diet Chef - Food Diary

Hi Islington82, I agree with you about not fancying the soups in warm weather. I've made myself a salad for a couple of lunches with lots of ingredients including grapes, sweetcorn, avocado, some small cubes of cheese etc. This week has gone out of the window diet-wise although I have still...

    week six, stayed the same!

Hi Helcatt, I guess we will forever have to deal with 'blips' like family get-togethers, meals out etc so I think the secret is to accept that these things happen (and we should enjoy them!) and we just need to modify the time around them so we remain on the right track, whether it be still...

Hellcatt, you are doing well. I think most of us weigh ourselves most days when we're trying to lose weight but I know that's not ideal as it's quite astonishing how your weight varies down AND up from day to day! So I only write mine down each Saturday. But it's very compelling when the...

will DC work for me? please help!!

Notgijane, you could order from QVC (www.qvcuk.com) like I did. I'm not sure how it compares to Diet Chef prices but you're not penalised for only ordering for 1 month. I find my shopping bill reasonable, like goingforit says above you only need to buy a few extra bits each week. And anyway...

    Third week result

Goingforit, I have a pair of old Levi's that I've had for about 10 years. They currently are way too small but when I last lost weight (quite a few years ago!), I slimmed into them which was great. I tried them on again at the weekend, knowing I was nowhere near but to give me another...

Hehe ... it's tempting to get on the scales every day isn't it? I've done it myself but now I'm trying to resist .. maybe just every other day :)) So I'm not sure about the pasta question, Rachyroo. Are you finding this easy to stick to? I think the food is pretty good on the whole (with a...

    Third week result

Wow - 2.8lb this week so just over 9lb in 3 weeks. I notice also I'm able to run a bit faster as I'm not so heavy! This Diet Chef stuff is great and I'm really feeling positive about getting to my goal (probably about 2.5-3 stone) as I don't see why I can't keep this up. It's good to check in...

    2nd week result

Goingforit, seems like we will be constantly faced with temptation so my philosophy is once in a while at the moment doesn't hurt as long as it's in moderation! Right now, looking at my diary, I seem to have a 'danger day' every few weeks so I think I have enough time to still keep moving in...

    2nd week result

Goingforit, that's another great result! It's pretty motivating isn't it?! Thanks for your reply on the 'processed' food topic - good to read your response and I feel better about the food now! I'm overseas on business right now and had a business dinner last night. Unfortunately the menu...

Lizfitz, just keep to it and you'll see results I'm sure! I'm not a great fan of processed food but this is a means to an end and actually most of it tastes pretty good. I'm off to the cinema later to see Warhorse (tissues at the ready!) and will take a packet of Diet Chef popcorn! Good luck...

    2nd week result

So today is my 2nd weigh-in day and I've lost 2.5 lbs this week so 7 lb in total in 2 weeks. I already feel better (jeans not tight around the waistband!) so I'm really confident about achieving what I want with the help of Diet Chef. By the way, I have a Diet Chef food hamper from QVC and...

Fantastic Goingforit! That must really spur you on! So far I'm finding the diet surprisingly easy to stick to (although I know it's early days - only Day 12 today!). I am feeling more confident about myself already - going to have my hair done on Friday and will have some pale blonde streaks...

    First week result

OK, so today was a big day in a way. Day 10 of doing Diet Chef and someone at work said "Have you lost weight?". Oh boy, that was good. Going home tonight to try the sausages in gravy. Fingers crossed! I had the beef madras 'meal kit' on Saturday night where Diet Chef provides the oil (all...

    First week result

Best of luck to both of you. It gets easier as you start to get results as you really want to keep going to look and feel better. I used one of the Diet Chef meal kits last night (beef madras) and I have to say it was really delicious! I even thought the portion was too big so have saved some...

    First week result

Today is the first week of me doing Diet Chef and I've lost 4.5 lb even with one business dinner at a nice restaurant. Then I changed my habits so declined the breadsticks, bread and wine (except for 1 glass). I even had sorbet instead of the chocolate platter (that took willpower!). So I'm...

    Waiting to start Diet Chef

Hi everyone, I'm new to this Forum. I'm waiting for my Diet Chief hamper to arrive from QVC. It should suit me as I work long hours and don't get home from work until around 7pm by which time I'm hungry and want dinner right away :) so I can pop something in the microwave straight away...
