    Attractiveness

I was once at work, about two years ago, and the one guy popped into the office for something along with his 6 year old boy. He left the boy with me for ten mins whilst he went off to sort something else, and the boy said to me "why are you so fat?". I will never forget that. And wow... it hurt...

Thank you all for the replies! Sigrun, thank you for your honesty and putting it out there. I had never thought of the train seat situation as I drive everywhere, but looking back over past experiences on the train, I have to agree with you. People do naturally avoid obese people - even myself...

Who are you losing weight for?

This raises a very good question. I have not read the replies inbetween before replying, so apologies if i have missed something. But yes, we do lose weight for ourselves, but it is for other people as well. How much do we go out into social events, being the fat one, covered up in long shirts...

    Who have you told?

I always used to keep it a secret, in my past attempts. But this time, I am really doing it - for real. And well... I really feel a difference this time in that this really is happening, and as such I am not hiding it at all. I am even putting it on Facebook with pictures - not of me, but of the...

    Acne

I have Rosacea and have been on various antibiotics, and now my dermatologist has put me onto Roaccutane - which is apparently an acne medication. So far so good, not noticed a huge change, but I am only 2 weeks in. I think my face is calming down a bit though. I am feeling pretty desperate though.

    Diet coke..

I have not read the replies here, just the original question - and YES, diet drinks most certainly do impact weight loss! I have tested it myself personally on three seperate occasions. And without a doubt I lose a lot more when I cut them out totally. I now stick to sparkling water, milk, and...

    Attractiveness

This may seem like an odd question, but one which I am pretty sure many of us have pondered. Ok, so... I am morbidly obese. I look forward to the day where i enter the obese band on the chart. I have been this huge for a fair number of years, and as such I always found nobody ever looked at me...

    Loose Skin

I have now lost just over two stone, and I have a long ways to go yet. I am really worried about loose skin once I get to my goal weight. Has anyone had this problem, and if so, is surgical removal the only option? Or should I quit worrying about it and wait and see? In total I need to lose...

    Love this way of eating!

So after years and years of being obese (morbidly so), and after years and years of trying WW, Atkins, and a few other plans - I finally decided to give Paleo a bash. And I have not looked back since. I have yet to hit the gym, and I have lost just over two stone. I am pretty hard core on...

Chicken baked in mayo/parmesan/garlic - all phases - carbs low

Since I saw this on here, I have it at least once a week now. I mix the Hellmans up with garlic and spread it over the chicken. Then I take a big mushroom and fill it with the left over Hellmans mix, then sprinkled both the chicken and mushroom with the parmesan. Its lovely!

    Tiggertoes on Atkins

I love reading all these diaries! And TT i love seeing your food photos! I have probably missed it, but how do you make the salami crisps? And I saw another pic that looks like bran muffins? What are those? And how are they made? Edit: And the garlic mayo... looks awesome. Did you just mix...

    Is this a realistic goal?

Today i started Atkins, and so far so good. As long as i have my greenery (which i love), I do not see any reason why this cannot work for me so I am looking forward to hopefully losing a good few! :D My goal is for December because I am going on holiday, and I dont want the photos to be fat...

    Started Atkins Today

Thanks for the replies. It is nice to know I am on the right track. I do not have the book, so am going off what I can find on the net, including the Atkins site itself. For lunch i had one chicken breast, fried in high oleic oil, on a bed of watercress with Hellmans. And a coke light. I have...

Hello everyone Well today I have started Atkins. For breakfast I have had: - One egg - One baby bel cheese - Half an avocada - Half a tomato - About a heaped tablespoon of Hellmans mayo - Coffe with cream and one canderel Is this ok? I am worried about using Canderel though, but it is all i...

    Going to start Atkins

Thank you :) I have always been a Weight Watchers person, but for some reason i just continually get so hungry on that and hunger derails me instantly. I hope Atkins will work for me because I know for myself that cutting out the carbs causes weight loss, so perhaps with a more structured plan I...

    Going to start Atkins

Hi everyone I want to try Atkins. I have sort of attempted it in the past, but i did not get past the first week as I had numerous people telling me how bad it was and so on. But I have since done some research of my own, and I now understand how the human body uses sugars, so now is a good...

    Out of control

I have the same problem. Last night i had an ice cream, but thankfully i stopped there. Could have had about five though... easily... No/Low Carb WW?

Hi everyone I am back, sort of, on the wagon again. I was doing good until my precious German Shepherd was diagnosed with cancer in March. Over 100 pounds to lose...

Hey, thanks for remembering me. I am not having a good time at all. My dog is dying. Had his at the specialist vets this week and they found his chest is riddled with cancer. He is having a hard time breathing due to all the fluid on his chest, but they have given him some hefty diurectics which...

    Over 100 pounds to lose...

Well done, wow! Reading your post alone gives me the umpf to get with it. I am away this weekend, and get home on Monday so I have already planned to get back on track from Tuesday, including exercise. And yes, you are right, I should turn to exercise rather than food. Perhaps that is something...

    Checking In... Bread Observation

Hi everyone I have had yet another bad week, but I am pleased that the scale still went down! Ok, perhaps a little shocked. I really was expecting a gain  I am finding that cutting out the bread is working wonders. I do not cut it right out, but I have cut down drastically. I never eat...

    Over 100 pounds to lose...

I have tried the stir fry thing but I am not big on veggies :( I much prefer to have a leafy cold salad loaded with onions, corn, cucumber, tomatos, rocket and a protein with some feta or something. I was pretty much raised on salads yet I am 100 pounds over weight. The other thing I really...

    I Surrender....

I am with Karen27. My hubby also used to try and sabotage me - and he too is VERY over weight. One day I lost it, completely went mad on him and told him that from now on he will be responsible for his own food and meals. And it has been like that ever since. The only thing I do for him...

    Over 100 pounds to lose...

Ok well, an update on the food: It was terrible. I really wish my family had taught me to cook because I just do not have a clue. The entire pot went to the dogs (which is a usual occurance around here lol). We landed up going out to eat, but I was good. I had one tiny piece of bread, one can...

I was really so bad last week. Chocolates, a mountain of bread, more chocolate, ice cream... so ashamed. Hey, I am too scared to get onto the scale :( Really terrified, so I didnt weigh in... total chicken I know. On the positive though, I am trying out my slow cooker for the first time in ages. Looking for a WW buddy!

I have almost exactly the same weight to lose. My goal is also 154lb. This week has been pretty bad though, but I will give myself the weekend and get back on track on Monday as that is when I can start exercising again after surgery last month. Looking forward to it!

    Weight Watchers from home?

I did the online thing only once, and when the three months were up I didnt sign up again. That is 30 odd quid I would rather have in my bank account, especially when I have all the books at home (not PP, just the normal points system books). I am loving this forum though, it is great!

    Low Carb Breakfast

Thank you for all the great suggestions! The problem with fruit, is I get soooo hungry if i eat it for breakfast. This results in me going off the rails later in the day. The only way to keep me full enough all day is to eat protein for breakfast, usually in the form of chicken. Eggs dont do...

    Over 100 pounds to lose...

So far my week is not going too great. So not expecting a loss at all this Sunday. As for exercise - yes I cycle. Low Carb Breakfast

Does anyone have any ideas for breakfast? My biggest problem is bread. If I were to cut out bread from my diet the weight would fall off me because I don't eat any pasta or potatoes - bread is my only source of carbs and I eat far too much of it. But I battle to get going without my usual...

I have done WW on and off over the years. I know the program really well. But I can't afford the online program and don't want to go to meetings so I'm doing it from home.
