    I lost it by calorie counting with mfp. It does feel good to say but its also easy to let things slide if that makes any sence at all? So how long have you been doing this?

    Hi well done on your loss so far. Ive been calorie counting with myfitnesspal.com for a yr and lost 70lb ish since last Feb. The best advice is to take one day at a time and if you mess up start again from the next meal not the next day and never never give up. Good luck with your loss c :)

    I have decided to start back on the juddd diet that I started at the beggining of last year as I've been in such a rut my first down day really hasn't gone to well as I ended up going to frankie and bennys and having pancakes oh well I was still under 1200 so that's a start and I didn't go crazy...

    Thanks for the advice I might look into that when money is a bit better. At the moment we have £70 to feed 5 of us but I'm sure it will get better soon. So for now I'm sticking to the juddd and see how it goes :)

    Oh I can't do those things one because I don't have the money to do that and two I don't think it sets a good example to my kids. Not sayin what you do is bad but I think its good for them to see their parents eat.

    Oh I didn't know that I've never dieted before I found mfp. I was kind of in denial about my weight till then. You even get a warning there if your net calories are under 1200. So do you just clean eat and stick to 600 a day?

    I was only asking as on mfp they are always telling you that if you eat under 1200cals your metabolism is ruined and your loss will slow and the moment you eat over that amount your body will store everything it gets. They call it starvation mode.

    Thanks for the advice I ended up having the spat bol off their light menu and only are half so 150cals then with stirfry tonight I should be about 600ish. Not to bad for my first dd lol

    I don't think I could stick to it to be honest I like my food to much and I don't want to be locked up for killing my family. I also know there is no way I could stick with it for life. I do the up day down day diet to kick start my loss then after a couple of weeks go back to 1200-1500 cals...

    That's great what are you doing? I've been doing mfp for the last year and lost 70lb but I can't seem to lose anymore so think I need to try somethin different. All they keep telling me on there is to up my cals which seems to just result I'm me gaining weight.

    I'm with mfp and lost 70lb so far but I have had it set to 1lb a week so my cals aren't crazy low. I get 1500 a day which is more than enough for me

    I'm sorry your struggling I'm a very bad stress eater and I find the only way I can avoid it is to keep busy. Try going for a walk or I clean a lot. I'm sorry if this is no help but wanted you to know your not alone
