    Green Days Gaining weight

I found I lost much better on green than EE, BUT I limit my carbs. Most SW recipes for pasta or rice use 300g for 4 servings. Those meals do me 6 servings. If amounts aren't specified or I'm cooking it separately, I use 50g per serving. My OH is slim and it's plenty for him as well. I always...

    SW Dissapointment :(

I definitely found EE slower for weight loss and stuck to green days until I reached target. EE is great for maintaining. Also I don't have unlimited pasta/rice/couscous etc. I weigh out 50g per portion and it's loads. I eat stacks and stacks of superfree as well. Good luck xx

My target according to THE graph means I'll still be overweight

BMI doesn't work for everyone. I read a while ago that BMI readings used to be higher and were fine, but were reduced after pressure from the government (or something - I can't really remember). Anyway, the bottom line is, don't worry about it and well done for losing weight.

What happens when you reach your target.

I have been a target member for over 18 months. I stay at target because I still go to group EVERY WEEK. Some weeks I worry that I have gone out of range, but it's never as bad as I've feared as long as I keep going regularly I have seen lots of members get to target. Then they stop coming and...

Off topic- does anyone here have a Costco membership and is it worth it?

I have a card as I make loads of preserves and sugar is much cheaper. Also cooking chocolate and glace cherries for my baking. That said, I buy loads of fruit and veg there. A huge pineapple is 1.99 and their raspberries are gorgeous all year round. A little punnet I bought in Aldi last week...

Why isnt it working for me?

I totally agree with this. I only allow myself 50 grams of rice or pasta per serving, which I find is ample with lots of veg and some protein. Recipes in the magazine call for 300g for 4 servings (75g per serving). These meals give us 6 servings. Eating unlimited rice and pasta definitely slowed...

I don't eat ready meals, but my DH has a Morrisons or Aldi curry (the only ones he likes) when I go to WI as I come home a bit late and all he has to do is bung it in the MW after he's cooked the veg I've prepared! I usually have some yummy SW leftovers. BTW he's not got a problem with his...

I have found this thread very interesting. I did WW online a few years ago and after a while found I was obsessed by pink&whites and cheese&onion crisps. Delicious meals with minimum ingredients.

I do a version of this from the SW Italian cookbook and it is ine of my favourite meals. It has 100g chopped spinach, 4 chopped spring onions and some garlic instead of the bacon and onion. Also a good dollop pf mixed herbs. You wilt the first 3 in a frying pan. Then add the rice and herbs...

I also agree that your head needs to be ready for this. I did numerous diets on my own, a different one every summer as I got bored and then I relapsed every winter and put the weight back on. I said I would only pay for a group as and when I needed it, and boy was I ready. No more yo-yo...

mixing green days with EE days...advice please :)

I actually lose better by doing green all the time. When I did EE my losses were very erratic. They were much steadier on green and I prefer it. That said, I don't eat as many carbs as they have in the SW recipes. 300g pasta in a recipe to serve 4 would do me 6 portions for instance and if I'm...

I actually find 50g pasta, rice or couscous is plenty if filled out with the other elements of the meal, including loads of veg. How to boost things along for speedier losses?

I found my losses on EE were very up and down. Once I changed to green, it was much steadier.
