Well lots of things happened simultaneously that gave me that nasty green light to go eat eat eat! Firstly, I had no internet and no phone line, so I couldn't come onto here and get my arse kicked lol Secondly I have now been informed of how much I have to pay out for college fee's to start in...

Anyone wanting to lose over 8 stones?

Thank you :) I really like dellybelly's idea of putting a pound away for every pound lost. Then I can also see what i'm not spending on cakes! Good luck everyone :)

Not sure where to put myself!

Thankyou for your replies :) I have joined a local WW meet, and having never done it before I am pleasantly surprised. Its clear I have zero willpower, hence the date I wrote this post and failed miserabally lol. Left to my own devices I could eat my way through a small supermarket, but on WW so...

Astara's diary from day one :)

Well yesterday felt like a failure day, although I did stay within points. I guess I need to get my head round the amount I am eating is ok, even if I scoffed a double egg sandwich at 10 oclock last night  Its been TOTM this week and I could eat for england! I'm gearing myself up for...

Anyone wanting to lose over 8 stones?

Thank you! I am nearing the end of week 2 and have found its getting easier. I was afraid last week that I wouldn't have lost anything because it didn't feel like dieting. I kept thinking I must be doing something wrong! But I lost 5lb so was really pleased. I am noticing small improvements...

    When people say stuff...

I think it comes down to what they despise in others is actually what they despise in themselves. They say life is like a mirror, and I think these people that attack others for whatever reason have insecurities themselves.

Astara's diary from day one :)

Hi Em, Thanks for the follow :) Good week so far, although I had 2 large glasses of wine on Tuesday night (which came out of my allowance) so I'm terrified its knocked the weightloss on the head this week. I suppose because it doesn't feel like i'm dieting my brain is telling me I'm not! Made...

Astara's diary from day one :)

    Bloated!!!!!!

Fruit and veg can make you a little 'windy'. I am a long time sufferer of gastritis (due, no doubt to the rubbish food I have been eating!) and anything with lots of fibre would make my stomach bloat. I find if I feel bloated, usually its gas and I would go for a brisk walk and drink lots of...

Astara's diary from day one :)

Oh crikey yes it does! I can't tell you how many times this week I have thought back (over the last 10 years) at my old eating habits and said to myself; bloody hell no wonder I got fat! Its the things that you don't think about that makes the weight creep up, I would think nothing of opening a...

I think the little things are important too :) I am looking forward to wearing a T-shirt, as its always been a no no for me to uncover my arms in summer! To not want to turn the lights off at bedtime ;) To have my OH lift me up without me screaming no! no! lol To shop in regular shops My...

Day 6! can't believe I made it this far lol. Although it has been the 'week before payday' so my will power has had a helping hand. I'm both excited and nervous about my first weigh in tomorrow, I feel I have lost something, not so bloated and feel like I have more energy. Although today is...

    Romantic meal for two?

Can anyone suggest a nice meal I can cook for myself and my other half? Something that will be ok point wise for me, and enough to satisfy a 6ft4 hungry barbarian?! I will be delving into my weekly points but want to keep it as low as possible, to accommodate the half a bottle of wine ;) Thanks:)

Astara's diary from day one :)

Day 4! Normally at day 4ish of a diet I'm hoofing it down the shops to arm myself with chocolate and wine in total defeat and 'one last blow-out' before I do it for real next week lol But not today, I feel fine :) I did have a stressful phone call this morning, which also normally would have...

0 point soup could be a lifesaver?

Ohh that sounds nice, I normally eat squash covered in butter and garlic and baked (ouch to the waist!), so will rethink and probably do the same but with just garlic. Havent tried the squash soup yet, but its next on my list of things to try :)

Astara's diary from day one :)

Woke up this morning not hungry! Wooot! Normally i'm starving in the mornings, and have breakfast (at about 6am with the kids before school) and then am hungry again by 10. But this morning a cup of tea was all I needed, and actually didn't eat till lunch. Probably not a good thing but to not...

    When people say stuff...

Well meaning people huh? the ones who think a comment or observation will 'make someone change'. I had a similar experience when I met my OH's mother for the first time years ago. He was in the kitchen helping her make a cuppa when I heard her say 'oooh your cousin Susan had the same affliction...

0 point soup could be a lifesaver?

Aww thats brilliant, I can get inventive with soups! So, if I made a 0 point soup and added say low fat plain yoghurt for example I can count the point of the yoghurt and that would be that :) Thanks for your replies.

You sound just like me! I am a picker, and more often than not I don't even realise i'm doing it. Hi flumpet, I have about 7 st to lose. My first class was yesterday, and even though I was nervous it was a really good experience in that I felt I could do this! Astara's diary from day one :)

My first day went well (I think!), although the evening munchy monster kicked in and even though I knew it was my head talking and not my stomach it was hard to ignore. 0 point soup could be a lifesaver?

I am new to WW, my first meeting was yesterday, so I am still taking things in! I have seen the recipe for the 0 point soup, and it looks lovely. Hi There, This is my first WW meeting today (was nerve racking but I enjoyed it!). I am starting at 16st5lb. I think I have done ok today, but may have over compensated my points, ie added extra points for fear of going over! I'm sure I will get into the routine, blatantly starving right now...

This whole 'putting on weight' business has been creeping up slowly, and the more it crept the more I ignored!
