    More advice needed please!

I've drifted into 2 packs and a meal this week, and I know it is not good for me. Skin is bad, feeling lethargic etc. I have stayed the same weight wise also. When I do AAM properly with 3 packs and a meal I usually lose. No idea why but these diets work when stuck too properly, not when I mess...

    Healthy BMI for SS

I did SS twice with a starting BMI of 48 and 50 each time. No problems at all, and managed exactly the same both times. The first time I had to do a higher plan for the first week whilst I got doctors signature, that was all. Never heard of having to be anywhere near BMI 30 to SS in fact I...

    Back after 2 weeks.....

People often have a slight regain when they finish the diet, but you'll only continue to regain weight if you eat more calories than you burn off, so if you follow a maintenance plan you'll be fine. I know that I've never eaten "normally" if I had I wouldn't have so much weight to lose now...

    Losses on AAM week...

My aamw can vary from a 3lb loss to staying the same, but I usually get a better loss the week after, it all evens out in the end

    Oh god...day 1 :(

It is hard getting going, and if anything each time it gets harder. Doing WS until you're into the diet is a really good idea, I'm doing the same for first 3-4 days, as I know last time it really eased my getting into ketosis doing that. Good luck with this week!

    Water/toilet!?

You're weight will fluctuate through the week, depending on a variety of factors. If you weigh daily you need to bear this in mind and not get disheartened. This is why so many people advocate weekly weigh in. Please keep drinking the water as that will ease any water retention, and by the end...

"Will my crash diet kill me?"

I'm watching too - you are fab Nicola, good for you for giving it a go, that Dr sounds really conceited! "Just use a saucer to control your portions" - if only it were that easy - I'd just have 30 saucers!!!

    difference cambridge/lipotrim/exante or other

Exante is more similar to CD than lipotrim, as lipotrim has a very restricted range of packs/foods (choice of 2 flapjacks (vile), 1 soup or 3 shakes) Weight loss on all is pretty similar if you stick to it 100%. Lipotrim you need to weigh in at GP/pharmacy every week, exante is all done...

    Birthday Treat

What diet are you on? I personally wouldn't risk getting out of ketosis as I get vile headaches getting in, but if you slip in and out easily, then go for it, sounds like a lovely treat! Most importantly - Happy Birthday:birthday::birthday:

Anyone got over 10 stone to lose????????

I needed to lose 12 stone, but 2 weeks down and now its only 11. Everyone's right, we need small targets and to keep it going. I'm looking to try and SS until the end of July, then break for a month - 810-1000 cal a day, then back on for the last 4ish stone. My goal is to be somewhere in the...

do any of you use skin firming creams?

I've got bio-oil, it was on offer, and it works well, however I find it a bit greasy, I'm going to go for the coco-butter when that runs out as that seems a really popular and cheap choice. Might treat myself to firminator for a milestone. I love this thread, really informative.

    i feel so thick!

I agree - ditch the sticks, you will be losing weight if you stick to the diet - whatever colour they go. I've never used them - too tight to spend my money on them, but I always know when I'm back in ketosis. The breath, the lack of hunger etc... If I feel good on the diet then all is well...

    Signature help!

I think the more you post the more privileges you get, so you start off only being able to add a small signature and it grows with posting. I vaguely remember filling in lots of word association quizzes to bump up my post numbers when I first came on here :):)

    Average Weight Loss

Thank you, :) I am really pleased this time round as I've tried so many VLCD and never stuck at them beyond 4 or 5 weeks. Also usually I hate talking to people about it, but this time I'm telling anyone who will listen! :) This forum is a great help though, everyone is so supportive.

    Average Weight Loss

Not including week one most VLCD's are losses of around a stone a month. But it varies from individual to individual. With no cheats I average 4lbs a week. :)

Are you moisturising as you lose?

Body Shop body butters are lovely, they all smell delicious. I've just ordered 2 big tubes of bio-oil though as I found an online chemist where it was 1/2 price. Hope it is as good as I've been told! I never used to bother moisturising but losing weight so quickly and my skin being drier I...

I really really mean it this time!

Hi Laura, Congratulations on a great start, you'll be under 30 in no time- those milestones really do make a difference! I can so relate to what you are are all saying about the differences in weight loss. My mum is always "needing" to lose 1/2 stone and sometimes it is really difficult...
