    Lose 4 stone in 2014

So I've not checked in for a while, busy week as I found out I may have gallstones, going for a scan soon. I think that all the milk was consuming may have aggravated the lining of my stomach so I've come off the shakes completely and decided to do it the old fashioned way, calorie counting...

    Lose 4 stone in 2014

Hi Clare, the protein is a lot more filling than the slim fast. So i'm feeling less hungry, only problem is I've got a lot of a flavour I'm not too keen on so i'm not really enjoying the taste. hoping this doesn't derail me. Looks like you got away with it, going ok this week so far?

    Just started Slim fast today!

Hi Both, :) 8lbs down, I've swapped the Slim Fast for protein shakes though as the sugar was too high for my PCOS and it keeps me fuller. I'm averaging around 1360 a day now as I was just too hungry. Have a good week x ps I'm started a weight loss diary instead will update there.

    Lose 4 stone in 2014

So, second weigh in and another lb off, quite glad to have maintained the first weeks loss and continued to lose. I think the sugar in the Ultra Slim was messing with my insulin so hopefully I might lose a little more with doing protein shakes instead. I'm using Diet Impact Whey from Myprotein...

    Lose 4 stone in 2014

You will do it, when I lost that much it came off in 8 months, but I did eat less points than I was supposed to. When I stick to a diet it drops off me, nearly as fast as I gain it! 2lbs a week is great. Jealous about New York, I've been twice but now I have children holidays like that are a...

    Lose 4 stone in 2014

Measurements really help with me as I don't always see it when I look in the mirror, strange isn't it? Also taking photos. I'm trawling the net for before and after photos and I really want my own! How is your diet going? I tried SW but found I ate too much.

Hi All, I've been big all my life. At 5'8, the last time I weighed 10 stone was when I was 15. 5:2 Diet

Thanks Deb. Maybe It's the difference between the low fat fast days and what I've ate the other days but I track my food so i know i eat fairly healthy the other days too. Also doctors can be quick to blame something to give you an answer. All i know is that the pain was as bad as labour...

    5:2 Diet

Well its five weeks this time but it's the second attempt, so maybe they are from the first round of fasting I did. I lost the majority of my weight on weight watchers so that came off very slowly, with fasting it dropped off me so maybe that's the problem, too much too quick.

    5:2 Diet

Hi Ladies, haven't been on for a few days but unfortunately I've had to stop the diet. I've got gallstones and apparently it could be linked to the fasting so i can't carry it on. Im gutted because it really was working but it seems in my case it isn't right for my body. Good luck all and back...

    5:2 Diet

Hi Deb, have to agree with what fizzy said, we are all dieting because we can't eat 'normally', either because of portion size, eating the wrong things or putting on weight due to medical reasons. Why not try My fitness pal for a week, log everything, weigh everything and see what you are...

Hi Ladies, just checking in, another 1lb down this morning, was quite happy with that as I went over on the weekend so I knew I wasn't going to see anything major! Help needed.

I would never drink before a fast day, you will have lost so many nutrients through drinking and will feel awful if you don't replace them, your body will be craving nourishment...don't do it to yourself! Before I start sounding like a goodie two shoes I would drink and scrap the fast haha! But...

Hi Manicdeb, I can fall into the trap of daily weigh ins, so this time I've took the batteries out of my scales and I only weigh in on a Friday. I'm sticking to that so far but it's difficult. You have to remember that anything in between weekly weighins is either a false positive or negative...

    Doing 5:2 From Home ;D

Hi I know what you mean. When I say normal I still track my calorie intake on non fast days too. But those two fast days give you a deficit of 3000 cals a week. If you can stick to the right calorie intake for your height and weight you can lose a lb a week. I did SW grudgingly, I lost weight...

Has anybody lost considerable weight doing 5:2??

Hi ticktock, I'm a Brummie, whereabouts are you? the tips are person specific, what works for one doesn't work for everyone. What I will say is, don't concentrate on fast days. It's just two days, there are five others where you are free from dieting. Just get through those two and you have...

Hi Ladies, is this thread for people doing SW on non fast days then fasting for two days a week? Surely the great thing is get through those two fast days and enjoy...

    Hello all :)

Hi Stef, I would be GUTTED after trying so hard for two fast days, are you retaining water? if so try some water retention tablets. Has anybody lost considerable weight doing 5:2??

Things that work for me are black coffee, diet coke and lots of water, but that results in lots of loo breaks. Leaving lunch as late as possible. Cherry toms with salt and pepper are good to snack, being as busy as poss on fast day helps it go quicker. an early night lol!! Zero Noodles if you...

  34. grotbags1979

Has anybody lost considerable weight doing 5:2??

Hi, if you eat 500 cals for two days you create a deficit of 3000 cals to lose around a lb a week. If you stick to a doable 1500-1700 the other days you will lose maybe 2lbs a week, still a respectable loss. But if you use up the 3000 cals on your non-fast days then yes you will be maintaining...

Hi Rose Bud. I just browsed through your Weight Loss Journey thread. Isn't it funny how a lot of us gain weight the same way? Weight Watchers and Myfitnesspal aren't linked! Sorry I should have made that clearer!!! MFP is a calorie tracker and fitness tracker. I track points and calories but the MFP App is good to follow as it tracks exercise and food to show you what you could achieve.

Have you put you details in? I so it should give you a goal of calories a day. I'm on 1500. It will give you an option to 'add to diary' then you can add to breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
