Hey you sound on better form! Yep, know what faecal transplants are!! It's really interesting stuff, if you don't think too much about it, although to be fair, I saw a documentary once, where they showed how the "product" is prepared! It's not that gross. I think I'd still be a bit fussy as to...

Glad the energy levels are back up. There is nothing worse than being hungry and tired! What do you reckon are you doing differently - or was it the break from the tedium (aka the JD tipple) that was a welcome break and rejuvenated you? In the first few weeks, I tried to mirror normality by...

I'm a great one for sniffing all carby products....did a whole range of them today, before chewing on the incredibly dry and choking Exante cookies and cream bar ( I won't name the objects of my sniffing for fear of tempting others). The effect was so much better, than the exante bar!! Managing...

Hey, glad you are feeling better and got to enjoy your days away. The drama though must have been very frightening. 😯. Deal is lovely, I'm so glad you had a pleasant time. Living outside of a city and commuting, can seem a bit daunting, but the quality of life benefits are amazing (despite...

Never feel down about a loss! A loss is one step closer to your goal! 🏆Like you I'm struggling a bit with a desire to eat real food, but I like rules, so whereas sticking to the shakes was easy, adding a bit extra is always hard to manage (for me at least). Your next mini goal is on the...

Great stuff! I've upped to 800. Three packs, and a light 200 protein heavy, carb light "meal". Stayed the same this week, but bought smaller trousers from eBay, so feeling pretty good: they are a comfy fit! I played around with the idea of doing 2 packs and a 400 meal, but decided to go with...

    Does anyone else weigh everyday?

I'm a daily weigher. I find it keeps me in check, also helps me to leap out of bed in the mornings, knowing I'm not allowed my first coffee of the day until I've weighed! Obvs I don't see a change everyday, which is why I like to only use my Saturday morning result to see my overall progression.

Hey I wondered too about changing plan, when my BMI dipped below 30, but decided to keep on TS. I have been sneeking the odd bit of produce from the garden, without too much damage, the odd carrot, tomato, mange tout and berry 🤭. I don't know what the right answer is, my clothes are deffo...

Lol, that elusive pound is still there this morning (#daily weigher!). Thanks, it's taken a while, I wish I'd pumped for VLCD earlier, I was just always a bit wary of them in relation to getting all the nutrition one needs and how sustainable they are long term. But, with the recent research...

I actually bought quite a few Exante packs on eBay and all for lower than the RRP. They seemed to be people's left overs rather than unscrupulous people taking advantage of desperate dieters. Ketosis?

12lb loss is amazing! Don't compare yourself with a man. Men tend to lose weight much more quickly. Ketone sticks aren't the be all and end all. My sticks are never really purple, but I think drinking lots of water dilutes the ketones, so don't worry about that! Deffo don't drop to 400 cals...

I was on keto for a few months before exante, I hit a plateau so switched to exante. I think switching between the two will work for me. I love keto coffee! I do miss it on exante, but find a coffee mixed with a vanilla or coconut able kind of fills the gap 😀

    Things I learnt this week

Water! Water! Water! That's what I've taken on board this week! I actually I find water makes me hungrier, so whilst I like being hydrated and do drink a few litres a day anyway, I try not to drink too much. However, after reading a post on water intake, I've upped to over 4 litres a day. I...

    Things I learnt this week

Hi Susie Yes exercise is bad! Trouble is my job is incredibly sedentary and at times when I'm out and about quite strenuous. One day in the field this coming week and I might take an extra bar. 😃 Week 1 was 8lb loss, week two was 2lb, this week was 3lb. All happy with that. I now weigh the...

    Exante 2 Weeks

Hi Just from my experience, I think the man plan is recommended for men rather than the total one. As a female I went on total and went into ketosis on day two. Hey. Well done on the loss and great to nibble away at your Christmas weight target rather than cheese🤣😂. I think that's a great idea: upping your food on strenuous days. 600+ calories really doesn't lend itself to much physical activity. Have a lovely day! Sun's out! ☀️🌞🔆

    Things I learnt this week

This week, I have also learned that if I am really hungry, there is a food I don't like....exante chocolate mint shakes...yuk! Really chemically tasting. I've also learned that despite feeling full of beans and definitely in ketosis, 600 kcals is not enough to do anything strenuous. Had a...

    Things I learnt this week

After trying Exante Apple and Cinnamon Porridge each morning for a week, I've had quite a battle. Yes I like the raspberry and white chocolate shakes. The equivalent biscuit is a bit dense. I tried a Dahl pot today, needed some chilli. Newbie restarter

Ooh I had the cheese and egg one, last week ...rather odd and whilst not unpleasant, it was a weird cheesy-eggy pancake; didn't get any bacon flavour. I've read that some try to scramble it....not sure I would advise this...if you are hungry enough you'll eat anything, or so I've found. 😀
  54. P

    Newbie restarter

Noodles are definitely going on my shopping list for my next order, I actually really liked them. Strawberry jam bar is another winner. Lots of stuff seems quite salty, but I've not tried anything yet that I haven't been able to finish...maybe hunger has dulled my palette!

    Things I learnt this week

    Things I learnt this week

Today ( well actually this week) I learnt that Minimins hasn't actually closed down! So I'm back. A little lighter than when I last posted on here, but not by much. As a hungry person I can pretty much stomach anything! 😁 I don't think that normally I would eat either the bars or meals, but with such reduction in choice in this diet, I'm not fussy! The shakes are quite nice, but I'm going to have to train myself to constantly eat sweet things....sweet...

    Things to go with meat.......?

That spinach recipe, mentioned above goes really nicely with chicken or prawns too.......slurp!
  139. P

    Wanna start tomorrow..

the great thing about atkins is that fat consumption is important - so some of the cheaper cuts of meat fit in really well - look out for belly pork (yum!) or a breast of lamb joint - Sainsburys, Asda and Tesco do a breast of lamb roll in their respective "basics" ranges. eggs, bacon and cheese...

I've only looked for the shakes and bars this week for the first time in ages - so not sure if they are regularly reduced - but TESCOs appear to have a a deal on at the moment - although only the bars are on the web site - the shakes are also reduced in store.

    Things I learnt this week

The worst Frankenfoods I have ever had are Sainsbury's sugar free marshmallows! May be it is because they are easy to get your hands on and then after buying them in a supermarket, the temptation to eat a whole bag in the car on the way home is just bl**dy riduculous! At least with the LCM...

    Things I learnt this week

oh - i couldn't have a cigarette in my possession and not smoke it! If I don't have cigarettes I'm fine - but if I were to have a ten pack in my bag - if I had one the rest wouldn't be there very long!!!
  220. P

    Are these allowed?

  221. P

Modifying Atkins - Can I still lose weight?

On one hand I so hope you are wrong - Coke Zero being allowed was good! On the other hand - I so hope you are right! - It's about time I stopped drinking so much of the stuff!! The next time I actually manage to find some - I shall check and report back!!
