I suppose because i feel its no ones business but my own, and if I'm happy with my losses (and paying¡) i didn't think it would matter if i didn't get weighed. I don't want to join online, as the whole reason for joining would be to 'share' the experience with others (I'm a very shy person) I...

    pasta calories - cooked weight?

I always weigh mine uncooked, but according to my packet (Sainsburys Tricolour Fusilli) a 90g dry weight serving has 321 calories. Under that it says 90g dry pasta = approximately 190g once cooked. Not sure if that helps?

    Calorie numbers - FRUSTRATED!!

Yep agree with Jaxie. MFP assumes you will eat exercise calories back so either stick with 1200 (or BMR) and eat your exercise calories back (to at least 1200) Or plump for something higher (TDEE - 20%) but don't eat your exercise calories back. Both should work, just what you prefer doing...

Try healthier higher cal foods. Use olive oil in food/frying. Use full fat butter / milk /cheese Snack on nuts. You already eat a decent amount but try not to eat the 'diet' or low cal foods. Eat cleaner without additives. Its higher cal but you have the calories to spare.

They do a chocolate PB2 as well. I don't really like it mixed in yoghurt, and although palatable its not as nice as real PB. What i normally do is mix it half and with with real PB makes it a little less calories/fat but still had the nice nutty oily crunch.

Make soup. I make a big vat of veggie soup and keep it in the fridge all week. I normally bung in assorted veggies, lentils and passata then blend. On and lots of garlic and chilli. Probably similar cals to a cup a soup but better for you and not tons of sodium/flavourings

I was the same. But for me it was always about control. Cutting myself put me back in control, and binging is the same. So out of control i feel in control. Both traits disgust me, and both desperately embarrass me. I've kicked the self harm, but food abuse is so much harder.

I don't/can't cook, so i normally have really simple dull stuff. Last week or so; Chicken breast, jacket spud and salad. Steak, actifry chips and peas. Pork medallions, mash and veggies. Tomato soup, and HM garlic bread. Mince and potatoes (done in slow cooker with veggies and barley) HM...

You can lose weight without exercise, but you will probably see results quicker if you exercise as you'll tone up as well as slimming down. Don't let your weight put you off, I'm far far bigger than you and i try to exercise. As long as you go lower impact and wear properly fitting shoes you...

    900 calories.

Snap. 25lb in eight weeks. I eat 1700 cals a day and pretty much what i want. I eat out lots, have choccy a few times a week and am a carb queen. In the whole time i have only ever gone over once which was a planned party. The trick for me has been little and often. Little portions so i...

Personally JUDD wouldn't work for me. I have an unhealthy relationship with food and know that cycling calories JUDD recommends would feck me up even more. If your objective is to change your shape, exercising like a maniac would be your best bed. Cardio and weights, whilst calorie counting...

Thats my problem with takeaways now. The portions are much bigger than I'm now used to, and despite being full the binge monster in me makes me eat to much. Prefer going out to eat now as the portions are normally smaller.

Its not too bad. At least you can manage to eat only a little junk. A Chinese full me would be at least 1500 cals as I'd have egg fried rice and prawn crackers with it.

    Cutting out chocolate.

I cut out crisps completely as I'm a complete salt-a-holic and they were my binge food. I've had one uncontrolled unplanned binge in the last eight weeks and that was crisps. I bought a six pack if WW low fat/cal crisps thinking i could have one as a treat. I ate them all within about 90mins if...

I'd suggest 1200, if you feel you can and then 1500 at the weekend as that way you can still allow yourself a treat whilst staying on plan. I could never do as low as 1200, I'm on 1700 and have lost 19lbs in seven weeks. I am heavier than you tho - last weigh in was 19st 8lbs.

    Hi all

Hello MFP is invaluable for me; especially the mobile app. I pre log all my food; even when out and about i log everything before i eat. It makes me chose far better foods as i can see how my day shapes up as i go along. I also love the inspiration from reading other peoples diarys and...

Calorie Counting for me too as i can't cheat. Use in conjuction with a app like My Fitness Pal its super easy. I pre log all my food and its really helping me make better choices. Slimming World and the like with free food wouldn't work for me as I'd just eat too much. With calorie...
