    Sugar free gum usually contains polyols which are sugar alcohols. The body cannot use sugar alcohols for energy so it should not affect ketosis. However, gum can make you hungry, give you terrible flatulence and diarrhoea. Best not. Some don't have a problem with it YMMV. Tina
