What Jess said! I took 39 weeks paid and used my annual leave on other side to have a total of 11 months off! And sometimes your employer may give you full pay for a few weeks at the start? My employer gave me 14 weeks full pay before I went onto statutory, but I know that's rare x

I think it should be free whilst you're pregnant cos it's unfair to expect you to pay for gaining weight! That's y a lot of pregnant ladies don't bother with group! Until babies are 1 year old, milk is the most important source of nutrition, food is just for fun, getting them used to different tastes and textures. Maybe your HV meant that once Mia is on 3 meals a day (they say to aim for 7 months), to give her food before her milk.

She certainly did :) I'm now known as the 'yummy mummy' of my group :D As it's a morning group, it attracts the mummies and a couple of them whose babies are a month or so younger than Oliver told me that I'm inspiring them :) x

I give milk first at 8am, food at 9:30-10. I figured my boy wouldn't be so receptive to food too soon after his milk and 2 ish hours works well for him. Every baby is different, do what you think best- the main thing is she's still drinking her milk, that's important x

Oliver takes 3x 9oz bottles a day, the little piggy! Sometimes he'll only take 7oz of his bedtime one but it makes no difference to his sleep. I imagine when he's 6 months and able to feed himself and more variety of food, he may reduce his milk but he really loves his bottles, which I'm happy...
