    You can use Ketostix, they detect the ketone levels in your urine. I've got some fancy ones that detect a lot of other stuff at the same time.

    Totally agree with the ice and straw, I usually make up the shake with about 3/4 of the usual water and throw a load of ice cubes and the shake into a blend and blitz for a few minutes - tastes delicious.

    I don't actually mind it, its not my favourite but I certainly don't find it repulsive. I had 4 last week but only got 2 this week just to let me take a break from the shakes, its nice to get something warm for a change (I've heard the shakes aren't nice when hot, but not tried it).
