    DOING SW FROM HOME???

It was basically a slow cooked beef stew with lots of spices. She had made a rub with cumin, paprika, scotch bonnet and lots of other things I can't remember sorry. Then the beef had sat in the fridge for 2 days before she slow cooked it with veggies. I'm pretty sure she got the recipe from the...

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Thanks Rosie. I never buy biscuits myself as I could easily eat a packet with a cuppa but hubby ordered these from the milkman for the boys at the wk end. I left them alone while all the boys were here but have been tempted since :-(
  19. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

OMG! That is monstrous! Looks so much more healthy than this bad boy ;-)
  20. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Good luck Laura :-) I'm trying to steer clear of the biscuits today so all my meals need to be quick so I can get out of the kitchen lol Lunch was pineapple & mushroom pizza rolls with HEX cheese and a chunky salad.
  21. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Dam you Milkman! If my hubby sneakily orders a box of broken biscuits again, you are under strict instruction to completely ignore him! Do I make myself clear?

Very proud of myself this afternoon. DOING SW FROM HOME???

Oh pants! I think I've messed up! Was doing a red day and planned on having LM sausages & swp mash which I thought was going to be free so used my 2 HXB's for a butty earlier in the day. Just checked and sweet potato is not super free and only free on green so I've had too many HXB's to do ee...

  43. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I've got sausage and BNS mash tonight too Jen, finding my 2nd red day far easier than the 1st. Gonna have a cheese sandwich to use up my HX's in a mo as having dinner late tonight. I could get used to this :-)
  44. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

  45. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Ooo a proper sandwich, that's heaven lol
  46. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Thanks Jen. My brain took some convincing that I could be satisfied and full without eating carbs but I'm hoping that will get easier if I do more of it. I'm such a pasta & bread addict that it just felt really odd not having them. I'm convinced it helped though :-)
  47. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

They are free on ee, I was having a red day yesterday so had to syn them if I wanted any. 2 3/4lb off this week :-) Sooooo happy after my gain last week. Think I shall do a few more red days from now on. Ruth x
  48. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I weighed out 25g of dry noodles and thought it was minuscule! No way I was wasting syns on that so just had chicken & oriental veg and a large glass of wine instead. A much more sensible way to spend my syns :-)
  49. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Thanks Charl, might have to syn some then as my dinner doesn't look all that filling :-(
  50. miss8310

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Sticky chicken? Marinade in soy, sweet chilli, garlic & ginger. You could slice up some carrots thinly with spring onions and sprinkle over while cooking then serve with rice or noodles. It's an easy fall back meal in our house when I don't know what else to cook :-)

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

That sounds much more sensible Rosie and I'm sure that's right, I follow EE for those exact reasons myself but just wonder why when I've been to group there was little mention of the other plans and even when some members asked specific questions they were 'encouraged' to try EE? The bottom...

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I do EE mostly but some days when I fancy more bread I'll do a red or green. Don't usually plan it in advance I just 'swap' plan during the day. You could always do a nice fresh fruit salad with fat free yogurt and some sweetener. I know it's not exactly a winter pud but it might be nice after a filling roast dinner? Or fruit kebabs? Melt a bit of chocolate to drizzle over the top and that won't bump up your syns too much.

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

You need to have your 3rd of a plate super free with every meal so salad would be good with your pasta or maybe add some broccoli and mushrooms? As for syns, you could have some mayo or nice dressing? A bicky or some chocolate or yes a glass of wine. As for saving them up I don't think that's...

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I've not been on plan for long HayleM but that sounds ok to me. I find if I use my b choice at breakfast I can get stuck for a mid afternoon snack so I'd recommend mixing it up over the week and see what works best for you. Keep it up though, I think we're all off to a great start :-) Ruth x

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

I think tea and coffee are good for us (in moderation) I sometimes feel a little anxious and when I do the first thing I grab is a nice mug of tea. It's a little chill out for 5 mins and gets me feeling like myself again :-)

Asda Smoked Microwaveable Haddock Fillet Syn Value?

Hi, I think your right the haddock, even though smoked should be free so you would either need to leave the butter out or syn it. I'd base it on full fat just to be safe which is 2 syns for a level teaspoon :-)

    DOING SW FROM HOME???

Hi all :-) I've just discovered this app and I'm thrilled to have found it! I'm staring SW again after a break of about 6 months but doing it from home this time. I was concerned that I'd fail without the regime of going to group and weighing in but this is really going to help. I weighed in on...
