66lbs in 16 weeks - just over halfway!

I thought I'd post on here to perhaps help those people who feel like they are facing a mammoth journey.

16 weeks ago, I started S&S - I'd done VLCDs before and always gained the weight back. I have never reached my goal of 12st. I thought this time would be the same but I was wrong - I'm not there yet but I'm positive that I am going to see 12st on the scales. This has been the most amazing journey for me. I already feel like I've got my life back and I'm only halfway! And the 16 weeks feel like the blink of an eye!

I do the Lifestyle plan (three packs and the protein meal) and that really helps me stay on track. I don't feel deprived at all. Evenings have always been my downfall - I can go all day eating healthily but then lose it in the evenings, so I save my protein meal and my bar for the evening so I have something to look forward to. It's all about finding out what suits you and how you can make this work for you.

I guess I'm just trying to say that even though it seems like a long slog, you WILL get there. Before you know it, you'll be halfway, then all the way :D

I'll post some before and halfway photos here. I started at 21st 4lbs and I'm now 16st 8lbs. I've gone from a size 24 to an 18 top and 20 bottom. I'm starting a 'refeed' of sorts tomorrow as I'm going to Cairo next week (lifetime dream for this Egyptology student who has never been to Egypt!). This will be the first time that I've flown without a belt extension! :bliss:

What a difference, and you are so committed to it - I really admire that. My commitment comes in waves and in different ways, but seeing the brilliant progress of others who stay firm helps me to keep on track too.

Very well done, and have a wonderful time in Cairo.

Thank you! I just saw your photo (in THAT skirt) - you look fab! Such an inspiration!

I've learned that no matter how rocky your journey is, if you just keep trying, you will get there. My mantra this time has been "If you had just picked yourself up and tried again each time you fell off the wagon, you'd have been at goal by now!" - that's really helped me to stay on track!

I've even had two planned evening meals off plan and a long weekend off and still managed to get right back on the diet the next morning and lose weight that week. It's all about perseverance! :D

Wow, what a difference.
Big changes noticeable around your collarbone, neck etc.
Keep up the good work ;)

If you Google 'Slim and Save badges', a link to the S&S website should come up and you get the code from there then just paste it into your signature on here.

I'm glad I've inspired you! I'm in the diaries section if you fancy a read although I'm refeeding at the moment to switch onto something more manageable in the long term. My diary is here:
