Hey everyone!

So I'm new to slimming world and this site!

Im going to a friends birthday meal tomorrow at a place called the buddha bar.. its asian food like sushi and stuff like that. Ive been going through the menu online and I'm really struggling on what to choose.. Im a vegetarian which makes it even harder!
I saw at the bottom they do steamed vegetables and steamed rice as a side but i wonder if that will be the most boring meal i could find!

heres the link to the menu..

To be perfectly hones, I am not sure what some of this stuff is!! But I don't think sushi is particularly high in syns.

I had to look up maki (thank you Wikipedia!) and it is the type of sushi which is wrapped in that black seaweed, which I have had, and it's delicious, and again, not too high in syns.

And there is steamed sea bass, or miso salmon in the large plates section.

There may be some other people along who know more about this type of restaurant than I do, but in my limited experience the food tends to be quite light, and probably won't do too much damage, so I would just go and have fun!

Also, what you choose might depend to a certain amount on what other people are having, as it might be awkward to have just one large dish if everyone is having little bits and pieces.

Whatever - enjoy it. It looks like a fascinating menu.

I just realised that I wrote the above post without having noticed that you are a vegetarian! Dimwit!! (me, not you!!)

But there are vegetable options in the maki list, and there is vegetable crunchy sushi as well.
