Hi everyone,

My name is Kat, and this is my diary.

I don't have much to lose in comparison to many inspirational 'losers' on here, who should be so proud of themselves for doing so well :) I know it will be a slower journey for me than a quick success.

i first noticed I was a little bigger than I am used to when my clothes were feeling tighter , and as I don't have a tumble dryer shrinking them , I knew it was me. So, I hop on the scales and am so ashamed. I am going on holiday in September and am aiming to lose the extra 2st baggage I'm carrying at this moment in time.

A little about me :

I am a chef and find it so difficult being around luxury food/sweets/cakes all day , which I have to try as part of my job for seasoning purposes , this means I'm not getting to spend my syns on good treats as I only have about half left when I get home :(
I am doing this alone. I bought the books on eBay , and am not a member of a group, joining this site will hopefully help with motivation :)
my boyfriend is extremely supportive and happily eats the same as me but with less vegetables than I have on my plate :)

I am just coming to the end of my 3 full week and am not doing to bad so far and hope to reach a target of a 25lb loss by September :)

Today's diary so far:

Breakfast : Banana , raspberries and vanilla mullerlight

lunch : Couscous with butternut squash and red peppers. Strawberries.

Snacks: Alpen light double chocolate (1/2 hexB) , 3 light cheese triangles (1/2 hexA) , 3 ryvita cracker breads (1/2 hexB)

Syns: brownie bite (2.5) , half quorn sausage (0.5) , fatless choc sponge to taste (4)

Tonight for dinner will be steak and slimming world chips with broccoli and carrots :)

Monday diary :

Breakfast : yoghurt, alpen light bar (1/2 hexB) , mango and strawberries.

Lunch: curry noodle pot shot , banana

Dinner : curry noodle pot shot, steamed vegetables

Snacks: rice pudding (made with water) , cheese (hexA) , alpen light bar (1/2 hexB), carrot sticks.

Syns: 2 finger mint kitkat (5) , flying saucers x4 (1) , mini florentine piece (1) , marshmallow (1) , taste of cream at work (1)

Total for day : 9
 
Keep forgetting to post my diary but here is today's ::

Breakfast : Banana, satsuma , alpen light (1/2 hexB) , rice pud with toffee mullerlight (1/2 portion)

Lunch : Homemade carrot and thyme soup, Banana

Dinner : Tesco light choice sausages x2 (2syns) , sw chips, bovril , broccoli

Snacks : Remaining 1/2 Portion of rice pudding, apple , pear , satsuma

Syns Total : 2

having some syns later I think :) yummmm
 
Had such a bad couple of days :( motivation Is slipping and we have been so busy in my kitchen at work that all I have time to eat is little bits of what I'm preparing which today was cake !! So ashamed :'( I punished myself by writing down my full 10 syns from backing at work.

I put on 1lb at my WI on Saturday so this has knocked my confidence and I feel like I'm starting all over again even though I still have lost 8lbs in total over 4 weeks which is about right.

Anyone else struggling at the moment ?
 
Thought I would weigh myself after what I thought was a bad couple of days to see how off track I am for my WI on Saturday , and it seems I have lost a pound thank God ! This has motivated me for my WI on Saturday now and today and tomorrow I will be extra good to shift the weight :)

Breakfast : Strawberries , yoghurt

Lunch: ham salad, fat free dressing, banana, yoghurt

HEX : 2 x Alpen light bars (b), cheese 30g (a)


Syns : Brownie (2.5) , tikka chicken (1) , pecans (2) jelly x2 (1) jubbly (1) = 7.5 so far

Having Bolognaise for dinner with salad and tagliatelle :)

I have a hen weekend away in 5 and a half weeks and am desperate to lose as much as I can for it!! Good luck with your weight loss :)
 
My WI was a 4lbs loss !


Going to stick to eating plenty of super speed food as it obviously works :)

Breakfast and lunch everyday was melon with strawberries and I drank 2L water a day too, it has defo done the trick :)

Today was a good day, I always stick to plan better on a day off as I'm not working around cakes and desserts.

Breakfast : 2 satsumas , grapes, alpen light

Lunch : melon, carrot sticks, yoghurt, alpen light, mini milk (1.5)

Dinner : herb coated chicken and curried Cous Cous served with 35g Halloumi and a salad of lettuce , beetroot, peppers and tomato.

Snacks: chocolate (4) , 2 x mini milks (3), jelly (0.5)

Total : 7.5

Had a lot of syns yesterday as I went out for dinner but going to behave the rest of the week and hope for a loss
 
Had another day off today so I behaved myself again :) but back at work tomorrow so need to gain some self control as ill be around lots of cakes :(


Breakfast: LM sausages x2, Eggs, Tomatoes , grapes ,
then an alpen light and a yoghurt

Lunch : beetroot , couscous and lettuce , yoghurt with mikados

Alpen light and satsuma as a snack

Dinner: chilli with chorizo and cheese, couscous, lettuce and beetroot.

I know I can make my own chilli but the 'ol del paso' one is so good and I'm a massive spice wimp so it's just right for me so I'm happy to sacrifice 1.5 syns haha :)
 
Back at work and the dreaded cake monsters found me :(
I feel like I massively let myself down even though I really didn't.
All I had was a miniscule bit of sponge (half a bite) and a 1" square of brownie about a cm deep.
I went with 6 syns as an estimate.

Feeling really bloated , I don't know why, I've drunk lots of water so that may be it ?

I feel like I'm going to have like a 6lb gain this week (really hope not)

Anyway, today:

Breakfast: Melon, Strawberries, Yoghurt

Lunch: Beetroot, Asparagus, Tomato with Couscous. Alpen Light [hex b] and a yoghurt

Snack: 3 x Ryvita with Cheese Triangles [hex b and a]

Dinner: Carrot and Cumin Soup, Cottage Cheese

Green day today , I have weigh in tomorrow and trying not to have any syns as I'm already on 74 (which is under if I had 15 a day) out of 70 :/

Breakfast:

Bran flakes with semi skimmed milk
Alpen light, yoghurt

Lunch:

Couscous , tomatoes, asparagus and beetroot
Strawberries, yoghurt

Dinner:

Curried Carrot and Cumin soup
 
So surprised at WI

Was expecting a big gain , but it was only 6oz which I rounded up to 0.5lbs , very pleased, even though its a gain I know but it's only small :)

Also went out last night so I didn't have my soup , and i already committed to a green day with my hexs so couldn't have any meat.

I still luckily had one and a half hex A choices left so I had a grilled halloumi salad, mixed leaves, tomato, peppers and onion , I also had a side of steamed veg with it so all in all I did good :)

Today I'm having a green day again:

Breakfast: Bran flakes , 1/2 hex a milk, yoghurt and melon.

Lunch: Carrot and cumin soup , Cous Cous , yoghurt, plums and kiwi. Alpen light

Snack: rice with soy sauce and spinach, alpen light. Melon.

Dinner: Carrot and cumin soup

Syns so far :

- Mini milk (1.5)
 
The good news is : 1.5lb on this week :)

Bad news is I think I've put it all back on this weekend :(

Went to an Italian restaurant today and had the deep fried cheese which is my favourite , it's 3.5 syns per 25g in my book so I'm allowing 14 syns for that I think, and 3 syns for oil.

Main course was spaghetti with tomato sauce with fresh cherry tomatoes , so was actually quite good :)

Yesterday we had an indoor BBQ so had mini lamb kofta , lean burgers , chicken and lots of salad.

Probably a total of 40 syns over the weekend so I'm going to allow myself an average of 6 syns a day over the week As well as lots of superfree to make sure I don't get a gain :)
 
Half a pound on this week , not too bad :)


Yet another naughty-ish weekend though as I went for a meal Saturday night, luckily I only had to syn a few things :

Ricotta (had hex a already), white bread, and ice cream.

Added 3 for oil too :)

I worked out the syns then have worked out from 70 how many I am allowed per day , instead of 10 it's about 6 , but if it gets me a loss it's worth it :)

Diary for today:

Green

Breakfast: Melon, 400ml oatly

Lunch: rice, beetroot. Yoghurt with hot choc stirred in (2) , alpen light.

Dinner; Veg stir fry, noodles, sauce (2.5)

Snack: alpen light, 3x ryvita , 15g cheese, pink wafer (2)



I have also recently discovered I have the strangest addictions to certain foods:

- Beetroot
- Beans
- Oatly Chocolate
- Basmati Rice
- Butternut Squash

Very Strange haha :)
