Hoping to use this Diary to keep myself motivated especially as i am toying with the idea of leaving group and going alone eeek. I have been a long term member of sw but after meeting my husband and having a child my weight has ballooned. Hes now 7 so cannot use that excuse anymore !!! Im also a nurse so shift work plays havoc with my weight, i can often do two back to back long days and have nothing to eat but breakfast before i leave, then on my day off i just graze and do very little. But i need to make this my year, i am starting a new job, i have a holiday booked and im sick of being the mummy who never joins in. Im also going to sign myself up for the Race for life and although i currently need to lose a lot of weight im going to start with jan and feb with lots of walking and then i hope to commence the couch to 5k so i can run the race. That thought alone is making me feel sick with 6 stone to lose

I have lost 4lb this week and alternate my weigh in days between monday and tuesday depending on my shifts.

Good luck, starting again. I've just started again after 4 years.

thanks for the reply, i hoping this is the time and always admire people who have done it alone

Well I now have a start date for my new job. Normally I would use this as an excuse for blowing the day but no I'm determined to get in a smaller uniform when I start x
