Hi I joined my local slimming world class last night

I lost over 3st in 2012 after having my little boy, going from 16st10 to 13st on rosemary Conley. Then I got pregnant again and had a few too many treats ;)

Anyway my son is now 2 and my little girl is 5 months and I need something that's manageable long term and fits in with cooking for the family

I truly think this is a diet that can become more a lifestyle change and I am looking forward to finally getting to goal :) will update as much as I can

Start weight: 14st 3
Goal weight: 11st 3

I'm 5'9 and 24- I haven't been 11st since I was 16

Hi Lucy sounds very similar to me I went from 16.13 to 13.8 with rosemary conley then got pregnant & went up to 17.10 whoops lol goodluck on your journey im sure sw will fit in nicely with family life x
 
Thanks tamkat :) I know what you mean, for me pregnancy was my excuse to eat lots of yummy rubbish lol. Good luck x

Yesterday's food

Hex a- 150ml milk, 2 lc light triangles
Hex b- 2 alpen light bars

B- mullerlight and apple
L- chicken salad: chicken, ham, onion, cucumber, lettuce, lc light, ex light mayo (1/2 syn)
S- pear and alpen light
D- mash potato, chicken, loads of veg, gravy (2 syns)
S- alpen light

Syns- 2 1/2

I was nice and full, had a few cups of tea with milk allowance and sweetener.

Please let me know if I'm going wrong anywhere x

B- toast and laughing cow light, yoghurt
S- apple and alpen light
L- pasta salad: pasta, tuna, onion, cucumber, light mayo (1 syn)
D- Cajun chicken, sw spicy wedges, roast carrots, salad, mayo (1.5syns)
S- option hot choc (2 syns)

Syns- 4.5

L- tuna pasta salad (made two lots yesterday) (mayo 1.5syns)
D- 2 LM rosemary and onion sausages, mash, loads of veg, gravy (3 syns)
S- chopped cucumber, ham and lc light (1.5syns)
S- hot choc (2 syns) alpen light (3 syns)

Syns- 11

Feeling hungry today- had good sized portions but just wanted to pick all evening! All on track tho

Hex b- 2 slice w/m bread

B- 2 slices w/m toast with lc light triangles
S- Apple and yoghurt
L- quorn chicken salad: quorn chicken, onion, cucumber, lettuce, sweetcorn, light mayo (1 syn)
D- beef casserole, roasties made in fry light and cauliflower
(Casserole: beef, onion, leeks, carrot, stock, gravy- 2 syns)
S- option hot chocolate (2 syns)

Syns- 5

I'm absolutely podged! Lol

Find it very hard to believe I can lose weight eating so much, but I've stuck to the plan 100% - weigh day is Tuesday, looking forward to it :)

Whoops haven't updated for a few days. So I was meant to have weigh in on tues, but other half had to nip to hospital so I was left with the babies, so didn't go. Shame as I know I would have a good (ish) loss as it's my first week and have been 100%.
Ah well consultant text and said its fine, so hoping for a good number on Tuesday as it will be first 2 weeks loss

Will post food later :)

Hex a- 12.5g low fat cheese, 150ml milk
Hex b- 2 alpen lights

B- chopped apple, chopped alpen light with mullerlight poured over
L- jacket potato, spaghetti hoops, cheese, salad, dressing (1 syn)
S- alpen, space raiders (3.5 syns)
D- lm sausages, mash potato, lots of veg, gravy (3 syns)
S- options hot choc (2 syns)

Major chocolate and cheese binge day yesterday!! Not happy and being extra cautious today. Also had an evening off in the week (takeaway and wine) and weigh day is tomorrow :( really not feeling positive and will be truely horrified if I don't lose even a little bit as it's my first weigh in!

I weighed at home earlier today and was the same as my starting weight might just scrap a sts, gutting tho as when I did a mid-week weigh in I was 4/5 lbs less :(

Was fed up and annoyed with myself today- which lead to more rubbish eating :( contemplating not going tomorrow and starting a fresh doing it alone x

I would really urge you to go, especially if you haven't done SW before. The scales there are a lot more accurate so try not to do sneaky weigh ins because they won't necessarily be the same.

Write it off and start afresh. You can do this. You've come so far already. Chances are if you hadn't started slimming world when you did you'd be 3/4 pounds heavier now. That's a real achievement :)

I went and got weighed, didn't stay for the actual meeting. STS so I was pleased that my 'starting weight' is still the same and I can now work my way down. I've basically binged for 3 or 4 days (even weigh day!) but I'm hoping it will come off well this week.

My consultant is lovely and text me a few times yesterday to make sure everything was ok and gave me encouragement which was really nice. I wish id just started this week rather than a few weeks ago as I wasn't ready- with the other half, kiddies, Easter and sorting out my return to work it just wasn't a good idea.

Anyway now my head is in the game and I can get down to it!!

When I did Rosemary Conley I lost a few stone and got 10 solw's!! So I know I can keep going to goal if I put my mind to it

Glad to hear you're feeling so positive. And a STS is brilliant! It means you were controlled even through the naughty days, so you can definitely do it.

Keep updating a food diary on here. It really helps to keep you focused and also makes you think twice about what you eat! Plus if there's anything not quite right then someone will spot it :)

Good luck for this week :) I'm sure you'll do great! Just shout if you need anything :)
 
Gosh I don't know how everyone keeps to date on here, I spend ages a nosey through all the diaries but keeping up with them and updating my own seems hard.. I'm lazy lol

Food today

Food today :)

Hex a- 150ml milk, 1 light cheese slice
Hex b- 2 slices w/m bread

B- mullerlight and apple
L- chicken pizza toast: 2 toast, tomato purée, garlic powder, onion, chicken pieces and cheese slice with salad and xl mayo (1)
S- small tin spaghetti hoops, with chopped lettuce and cucumber and 1 laughing cow light triangle (1.5)
D- pork chop, roast potatoes, roast carrot and onions, cauliflower, leeks ad gravy (3)
S- hot choc (2)

The toast pizza doesn't look great lol but it was soo yummy- would usually use grated low fat cheese but only had slices. Feeling positive :)

Hi Lucy...
Congratz on your previous loss.. your baby... and well done for getting back on it...
Have just signed back up to group Thursday gone... Was doing SW through pregnancy and was 7lb lower than my pre-preg weight after having the baby but have since gained that back... So was back to my pre-preg for a few weeks, was eating crap (literally having biscuits and cake for breakfast!!!!) and this week, deservidly gained 2lb (was still WI but doing it at home) so decided to get my ass back to group before I gain back everything I lost before getting pregnant in the first place (had lost 2.5stone)
So.. Week 1, Day 2 and so far so good.. Am determined to get to goal by Christmas.. So hopefully being back at group will keep me on track and get me back my SW mojo..
Anyway.. Enough rambling.. Here to follow/support/steal meal ideas :D
