Hi Sammy,
I'm impressed with your 5k run. I managed 2 miles this morning. Am hoping to build up to 5k fairly quickly.
I'm doing EE on SW too.
Can I ask - when you record your syns - 28/105 - is 105 your syns for the week? You're adding them up through the week?

Sorry about your step dad by the way. As you say - you had to have a drink for him.

Hi Becs,

I have a treadmill in our outhouse so get on that as much as possible although went out for a run with my cousin the other night & she is very fit so felt like I had to keep going! I'm doing the 10k race for life in a couple if months that's why I'm running a lot! Lol
I've always flexi synned, mainly because I always tend to have a blow out on the weekend so I try & save a few syns earlier in the week for it! I only weigh at home & I know some consultants dis-agree with flexi synning but the way I see it, it's the same number of calories at the end? & I always lose (if I can stick to plan) so it obviously works for me.
Have you been doing sw long & do you go to class?
Sam xx

So normally I'm a serial weigher, every morning workout fail, I hate it as it sets my mood for the day! So since Tuesday when I weighed 10.5.5 I haven't weighed myself, I asked my hubby to hide the scales! This Is a massive achievement for me & It's been quite hard BUT I'm so excited to have a surprise next Tuesday. :)
I'm hoping that only weighing once a week will help me to stay focused, weighing daily has not been healthy for me at all, as all I do is stress about the number I see rather than how I feel in my own body.

Hi
I've been going to SW classes - it does help with my motivation. I'm just over 3 months in now and have lost roughly half a stone a month but can't see I'll manage it this month.
We're going to friends this weekend which normally involves a big yummy meal and lots of wine. So I'm taking lots of fruit, yoghurt, low alcohol beer and fizzy water to try and minimise the damage! Might take my running shoes too!

Meant to say - well done on the not weighing - I've been there before and have definitely decided I'm better off not doing it. I do tend to weigh before I go to class to weigh in though. I kind of like the warning before I weigh in in public!

1/2 a stone a month is fab, that's almost 2lb a week! Well done. :)
I'm gong to give it a few weeks & if I'm still not getting anywhere I think I might join a group.
Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned, good on you for planning to take healthy snacks, organisation is definitely key!
We don't really have any plans this weekend which I'm quite looking forward to, had so muc on lately, & when we go out on weekends we always end up eating out!(Usually rubbish) If we do eat out this weekend I will make sure it's sw friendly like a nice mixed grill or something.

My run tonight has killed me! I managed to run 5k in 35 mins. A minute off last time!
Got home and the hubby was half asleep, he's now fast asleep so I'm watching gogglebox on my tod, its so funny.
I've not touched a drop of alcohol this week, for anyone that knows me I do like a glass of wine so I'm doing well especially tonight sat in front of the box!

Day 5. EE

Breakfast

1 x wm roll with lf spread (1b & 2)
1 bgty sausage (0.5)
'Fried' egg

We went to harvester for lunch & it was very nice, I had a couple of salad bowls & the flame grilled chicken, jacket potato & peas for main. I'm not sure on syns, don't think it will be many so will say (10)

Dinner

No tea but went out on the town & drunk a bottle of wine. (30?)

So yesterday we went out for the day, tool the children to an old fashioned train station. There was a cafe there but unfortunately didn't have anything sw friendly, everything was with chips so I had a plate if chips & a coffee. I've gone over my syns for the week so today will try & go very low syn & hopefully still see a loss tomorrow.

Hopefully with your running you'll still be ok.
I succumbed to a voucher for free cake at the leisure centre when I took my son swimming today. Coconut jam slice - so way over today :(

Had two days that were over at the weekend while we were away too so not sure what to expect. Weigh in tomorrow night so planning a run in the morning before work, fruit & yog for breakfast and homemade free soup for lunch. No tea til after weigh in. Fingers crossed.
Good luck!

No carbs until after wi is wise, id be starving though! Can I ask what soup u make? I really like soup but haven't really ever tried making it whilst on plan.
I hope I've lost something. Good luck for u too hun. xx

3lb for me - pleased with that. I think its prob the loss that didn't show last week.

My favourite soup (even pre SW) is red lentil and spinach. I can't fully remember the quantities off the top if my head but essentially it's
- onion, carrot, celery, ginger, garlic, a chilli all sweated down. Then add 10 cherry tomatoes cut in half and red lentils and stock (1.5l). Leaves to simmer so it all goes soft. Then add big bag a spinach and leave to wilt into it. Then blitz with a hand blender. It makes a big batch - I make it in my massive casserole dish. It freezes well.

Well done on your loss :)

Well done!!
That sounds yum! The red lentils are they dried or tinned? Never brought lentils before!

So yesterday was a bit off plan but did manage to stay under 1500 cals so not going to worry too much. I'll try & stick to within 70 syns for rest of week & hopefully get a loss!
