Extra Easy: Health Extra B nuts

Does anyone use nuts as their HeB? Thought I would give it a go this week to see if it speeds up weigh loss rather than having my usual bread or cereal bars.

Says we can have 20 almonds so trying that today.

Anyone else tried this and got results?

I haven't really that much but I'm going to start to!

I tend to do quite a few red days so always have an extra HExB which I often don't use, or find myself having an extra cereal bar in the evening to make up for it.
I'm going to try using extra virgin olive oil as my HExB or almonds a lot more - I love them and used to snack on them all the time!

Yes I thought about maybe using the oil too. I've just had my allowance of 20 almonds and they were quite satisfying! Will be nice with fruit and yogurt to give it some crunch! X

Ive started having some after watching a programme on tv last week that says eating them can help with weightloss. I really enjoy them & its a nice change from alpen bars etc, Im having almonds too x

Sometime I do, usually when I want to toast some cashews to have with a chinese dish :)

I saw that programme too. Really interesting. Think I might give it a go x

I didn't realise you could have nuts as your HEB unless you were on the green plan? is this only EE or can you do it on the red plan too?

xx

No it doesn't look like you can on red. Probably because of the fat content and you get enough fat from the extra meat you would eat on red? That's all I can think of x

Gutted, i'll just have to count them as syns then cos I need something quick when I come out of the gym! xx

Yes you can on EE according to the book :) not sure of all the different types but I know you can have 20 hazelnuts or 20 almonds. The others are smaller amounts than that so be careful. my favourite is 0% Greek yogurt with chopped banana, blueberries and 20 hazelnuts :D xx
