Iceland

Just walked past Iceland. My consultant was there stocking the fridge with the new SW meals. She said people are already taking loads at a time. When we were there a bloke had a full basket full of meals. Think i will have to get back down quick before they sell out!!! Lol

Aw nuts, I didn't get to go today and was going to stock up on Syn free sausages and meatballs! :(

You'll have to post some reviews to see if they are as yummy as cooking them yourself! Would also be interesting to see the portion sizes as I'm sure I put faar too much on my plate when I cook :)

I didn't like the veg. pasta which didn't surprise me but loved the salmon. Definitely making that in bulk and freezing. Thank God for the ingredients and recipes on the packs! :)

you dont have to buy them for the recipes, they are on the iceland website x

Bought a few of the meals and the portion sizes look very generous. Had the sausages and was very impressed. Will definitely get some more

Just had the sw hot smoked salmon farfelle. It was delicious. Full of taste and flavour. The pack served both me and my hubby served with a lovely fresh salad. Well worth £3. Will definitely buy again.

For those of you who have had the salmon - the picture shows it has peas in it. Are there many peas? I cannot stand peas - if there are just a few I can take them out, but if there are loads I really won't be able to face it.

There were loads in our Iceland yesterday. I bought the sausages and the Singapore noodles. Didn't like the sausages at all, the skin was tough and the sausage itself was a bit dry. I won't be buying again. I'll be having the noodles tommoro for my tea so will see what they are like.

My mum works in Iceland and she's been telling me how people are stacking their trolleys full of the SW meals! She brought one back for me today, the sweet potato curry so I'm looking forward to trying it. There was also a stall set up where a consultant was handing out leaflets with free membership vouchers and older SW magazines. I'm re-joining Monday!

Oh please report back when you have tried it, it's the only one I think that I would try xx

I had the sweet potato curry tonight! I was a bit miffed there was no rice so I had to cook my own. But I found the meal easily feeds two, so I put half away for tomorrow night! It was really tasty, although it says it's 'mild' but I found it very hot.
