Train Journey - Food Ideas

Happy Holidays

Hi all, as some of you probably know I'm off to Lourdes in June with my sister (who is also doing SW) & mum. We are travelling on the train & will get food provided from St. Pancreas to Paris, but not from Paris to Lourdes.

The train journey from Paris is about 5.30hrs so we'd like to take our own food for the journey. I'm looking for ideas on what to take, I can think of boiled potatoes & hummus sandwiches and that's it!!!!! I have a cool bag, anyone any ideas on what we can take. Obviously I'll be taking fruit, but then I'm struggling for ideas.

you can pick up pre-package sushi next to the sandwiches in most grab & go sections of shops/supermarkets. It is very filling and some of it is very low synned (1-2 syns per full pack). I always go for the Tesco or Marks versions personally.

Hard boiled eggs....

Thanks I did think of hard boiled eggs, but thought they may be a bit smelly!

Good idea, but we leave St. Pancreas at 07:01 in the morning so won't have time to pick anything up:(
